this was such a cute second chance romance.Chase and Nathan had something years ago but Nathan left for college and never returned, absolutely crushing Chase's heart in the process. Nathan finds himself back in town and trying to mend the mistakes he made in the past.
I will say that I agree with Chase and the reason why Nathan stayed away for so long was selfish and I was so hurt for Chase when he learned of the reason why.
This was a quick read that I couldn't put down, hoping that these two would work out these past issues and finally get together again.

Holy trauma overload. These poor boys, my heart was breaking for them all the way up to the epilogue.
Becks and Riley just could not get a break. Ever since they were kids it was like they too hit after hit and never got a breather. The only solid thing in their lives was each other, Jay and their trauma. My heart broke for Beck the most, the things that he had to endure just to protect Riley and make sure that he was safe and cared for 🥹
Their story took you on such a doozy of an emotional ride. It was so gripping and kept you on the edge of you seat of what else would go wrong. Definitely some trauma bonding and hurt/comfort the majority of the book but I honestly think that if they did not have each other they would not have survived all of the horrible things that happened to them.
I loved that they finally got to a point that they felt safe and could finally trust some people and got their HEA, they really really deserved that.

I knew after the Hollows Bay Trilogy and the doozy that E.K. took us on, I was going prepared for an unhinged MMC and she definitely delivered on that with Nash and his morally grey ways.
Savannah is at the lowest point in her life, an ex that did her wrong, broke, gave up her dreams long ago and just trying to make it in life. She is struggling to get by until Nash shows up in her life wanting to make things better for her and her life. She pushes and pushes and does not make it easy for him.
Nash is a walking talking red flag, he's unhinged, rich, arrogant, calculated, controlling, obsessed and will do anything to get what he wants and what he wants is Savannah. He stopped at nothing to have her bend to his will. Nash really cared and absolutely adored her. I mean, he may have some extreme ways to show it, but he cared none the less.
I loved watching the dynamic of the two and loved seeing their feelings change and progress the way they did. The chemistry between them was insane.
Can't wait for more in this series!!

I was so happy to get more on Matt. I really really wanted a good redemption for him and I 100% think he got his redemption and then some. I love Matt and Coop so much.
Oh Matt 🥺 The confusion, the panic, the realization, the comfort, the love. I think he went through every emotion possible throughout his journey. This story took you on such an emotional rollercoaster. Coop was with him every step of the way giving him the space when needed and compassion and understanding while Matt came to terms with his feelings.
The touches, the spoiling, the little things that Coop did for Matt throughout was so sweet. You could see how much Coop cared for Matt and was willing to wait patiently while Matt came to terms with everything.
I am so happy that Matt was able to work out the voices in his head caused by his upbringing and was finally able to find happiness and enjoy the things he has always loved and craved but secretly hid. I can't wait for Mitch story next, he seems to be the worst out of the bunch, in terms of anger and stuck in his ways so I can't wait to see how it all plays out with him.

Miller who is a professional poker player feels like his life is at a point that he is needing something different so he ends up find a part time job as a camp counselor. Becca is a medical student who needs an escape from her hectic life and ends up at the same camp as Miller as a counselor. They talk before they get to the camp and once camp starts up Miller realizes that Becca is not his biggest fan.
Once Miller realizes he's not Becca biggest fan, he tries to win her over but Becca is not easy to give in and it takes awhilllllllle for Miller to win her over. It was a really cute story with lots of laughs.
This was for sure a slow burn, very very slow burn. Also I know the whole poker thing but the lingo and the amount that it was used, threw me off at times and the ending just felt super rushed and unfinished in a way. Overall it was a cute book.

I think Gavin stole the spot for number one Langfield brother. Gavin said hold my baby and let me show you why I'm the best brother!! Gavin and Millie are everything!!! This book had a little bit of everything, spice, angst, pining, groveling, chemistry, passion, love.. ahhh this book will stay with me for awhile.
Millie is set on getting revenge against her father Ford because she feels betrayed and feels that their relationship has crumbled since he got with Lake. Her thought: the best way to do that was to seduce and sleep with her dad's best friend, but also keeping her identity a secret. What was thought to be only one night turned into so soooo much more for her.
Gavin can't get the woman out of his head until very soon after their hook up he is introduced to her on the plane.. on the way to Ford's wedding. Everything shifts in him and he realizes that he is so ducked because he knows he won't be able to let her go. There chemistry was explosive 🔥
There is a bunch of back and forth, secrecy and we shouldn't do this moments. During this time we are introduced to Vivi and she just stole the show. The way Gavin immediately said, she is mine, was so sweet and then when Millie came into the mix, it was perfection. The perfect family.
You get a lot of the other Langfield brothers and the team which was equally hilarious and I loved their appearances. I can not wait for Aidens book next!! I loved Aiden and the FMC when they make appearances so I know their book will be amazing 😍

Cute quick read.
Wasn't super long so wasn't expecting much from it. Not a lot of growth or depth from the characters and was pretty much just sex but even the sex was a little subdued as well.
They did have a lot of cute outings while they were spending the week together. I wish there was more of that and more depth to them and their conversations as well.

Bodhi has finally gotten the chance to leave his abusive boyfriend. He bought a bus ticket to anywhere far away, got on and never looked back. Now that he is in the new town he has to figure out a plan to start his new life. The next morning being in town he runs into Atticus. There is an instant connection between the two. I loved Bodhi and his persistence and strength that he gained throughout the book
Atticus is instantly drawn to Bodhi and has a need to take care of him. Atticus is for sure a nurturer and after Bodhi gets hurt and he finds out about his past Atticus makes it his mission to show Bodhi true love and affection.
I really enjoyed the read and how everyone stepped up to help Bodhi. The found family was amazing to see. I know that everyone process trauma different but how Bodhi went from such an extremely abusive relationship for years to running away and the day after he is finally free, he trusts Atticus almost instantly, it just felt a bit off for me on that mark.
What a heartbreaking debut novel. Can't wait to see what's up next for the author. There were a lot of couples that seemed to be set up for future books so I'm excited to see who's next .

It was fast paced from the beginning but it felt like there was no growth or exploration between the two except sexually. I get the whole insta-attraction thing but where was the getting to know each other deeper? where was the connection? I didn't get any of that so I was left wanting even more from the two.
With that said I did enjoy watching these two navigate their attraction and feelings throughout the book. The side characters were an added bonus and I loved the whole premise that work is not everything in life and to make sure that you find happiness and love as well.

This was a cute read.
