I think I went into this with high hopes with what sounded to be a great plot but was let down a bit in my opinion. The fantasy aspect was great and not too much of a fantasy overload, if you get what I mean. I just could not connect with the main characters and it was just a bit too long for me.

I was about 50/50 for Desi, for someone who was so excited and loved the human world. She lacked the basic knowledge but she was sassy and confident which I love in a FMC.

Jace was just meh for me. Same as desi, I was 50/50 on him. Didn't love him, didn't hate him just couldn't connect with him. 

Now Cannon, I LOVEEEEEEED Cannon and wish we got more of him. He was so sweet and such an amazing friend. 

I wish that the epilogue was better and we got a glimpse into their kids and more on the couple overall.

I thought this had great premise but it just lacked significantly for me. Ivan was like a petulant child for a lot of the book, the whole Kate this was such a big obnoxious point in the story even though I'm the beginning Ivan always said they were safe and hadn't seen her in months so no way it could have been his but then the majority of the book was centered around her and his supposed child 🤔🙄 

This was a quick fast paced read. 

There really isn't much depth to the characters and they call pretty quick but the plot was an interesting one. 

I liked how the past was explained and somehow they were always connected and finally got their chance even if it wasn't in the most conventional way

These two were so stinkin cute. I was hooked from the beginning when these two meet and the confusion of what a  "hook-up" meant to watching them progress into something more.

Theo is straight up Golden Retriever energy, he's energetic but also kind, a people pleaser, super sweet and absolutely hilarious. He is completely oblivious to so many things especially in the beginning with Perry and his flirting. 

Perry rushed in and "saved" Theo, first from falling on his face at a party but most importantly, he saved him from himself. Perry was super kind and compassionate to Theo while they are friends and then while Theo is learning things about himself and what he wants out of life without feeling like a disappointment. Perry became a safe space for Theo in all areas and in turn Theo became Perry's safe space as well.

The support that the guys give each other is absolutely phenomenal. I'm pretty sure a smile was on my face the entire time that I was reading this, that's how cute this book was. Great start to the new series and I can't wait for more!!

Ridge was sooooo sweet and swoon worthy. He was there for Callie as she discovered herself and never pushed her too far. He was obsessed, possessive and so protective of her. The amount of respect he gave her and demanded for her was what she needed to grow comfortable on what she deserved.

Sweet innocent Callie by the end of the book so she was such a strong amazing woman. I loved that she was open to learning new things and was determined to spread her wings and be free. 

Their connection was so strong and I loved watching them as they progressed in their relationship. Their love is something truly magical!

I swear this little fictional town of Copper Lake does something to me. I love everything about this small little town, the characters, just everything. I  love every single one of them and their story. Boone and Grady captivated me from the beginning and I finished in one sitting to see how it all played out with them.

Boone has made appearances in the previous book in the series as the devoted family man on the rodeo circuit but you could always tell there was something happening between him and Jade with the bickering and fighting that was happening. It set up Boone's story perfectly. Jade and Boone finally decide to separate and call their marriage quits after realizing there was no saving it. While Boone is out living his best life as a bull rider, Jade has welcomed her younger brother Grady to stay with them while he figures out what he wants to do with his life. 

I loved these two so much, the forbidden aspect of it, the stolen glances, everyone can sense something but them. They both had conflicting feelings and thoughts before they finally gave in. The way that Grady was with Suzy, absolutely adorable. The way that Boone and Grady had the friendship and bond before they crossed the line into something more was perfect and the chemistry between these two 🥵

I loved the cameos of all the other characters and can't wait for more in this series!!! I never want it to end.

I really tried to give this a shot. While I did finish it I felt like it was a complete waste of time that I can never get back. 

The plot looked promising from the blurb but once you started reading it you were thrown all over the place. There was no growth, there were things that weren't explained or expanded on so it felt extremely unfinished. 

I understand a whole family feud but they know nothing about each other, say they hate each other but hook up constantly. Then they say they love each other but then again they know absolutely nothing about each other. It's all surface level shit. 

The spice was there for over half of the book but at times I feel like it was just thrown in there to take up space in the book. It just lacked so much potential for me.

I absolutely loved Waylon and Justin!

Being Justin's manager for so long Waylon failed to see how miserable Justin was when it came to the fame part of his stardom. After a hot and steamy encounter, Justin runs. It takes months for Waylon to find his but once he does he's determined to help Justin find his happiness again. 

There is a push and pull between the two while they try to fight their feelings while releasing "tension" while figuring everything out with Justin's career. I loved watching these two together and the chemistry they had 🥵. You could see the love between them even when they couldn't.

Their story takes you on an emotional journey of a rockstar who only wants to sing and have his music heard and a manager who will stop at nothing to ensure he gets what he wants doing what he loves. I loved seeing the characters from the previous books make an appearance as well

Holy hot novella. 

This is heavy on the spice, low on the plot but it was the right amount of perfect!

Alex and Elijah end up in the same lake house thinking they would have a weekend getaway alone to have a break from life. Surprise when Elijah walked in to the house with Alex cooking in nothing but an apron. From there things escalate pretty quickly between them and they get sooooo hot and heavy 😮‍💨🥵

Despite it being short and heavy on the spice there was still feelings involved and it was sweet at times. If you are looking for a hot quick read, make sure to grab this when it comes out!!

That prologue had me gripped from the first chapter and as the story went on I was on the edge of my seat on what would happen next. The twists just kept coming and coming, when I thought there would finally be a break with everything I was thrown for a loop again and questioning everything. 

They are both trying to move on. Kane remembers everything while Brie remembers absolutely nothing so Kane is set out on revenge. He becomes obsessed with finding out why she is acting like she doesn't remember anything or who he is, so he becomes unhinged and begins to stalk her. After awhile they end of talking and the truth is absolutely shocking to say the least.

Brie and Kane's story absolutely broke my heart. They both went through sooo much and took you on such an emotional rollercoaster. It was a ride for sure but they fought hard for their much deserved HEA.
