This was a cute, fun, short listen!
I loved all the characters and their relationships. I would gladly read a full length book with them. I see the potential!
The spice in this was so good! The characters actually felt like they were into each other. I loved Jesse and how obsessed he was with Viola!
As a book lover i really liked the small plot of creating a game based off a book series and them trying to make it actually accurate, unlike many movies do.
This book definitely got me out a potential slump after the last book.

I took a chance on this book, its outside what i normally read.
First the biggest thing that bothered me was the choice of narrator as Abi was identified as having (being?) a female voice. I would prefer a more neutral voice, think Siri, that would make it creepier too. Uncanny. Valley type.I think i would’ve liked the book at bit more reading it on my own.
The pace was quite slow for me up until the end, it had me somewhat uninterested but i pushed through.
There was a lot of characters to keep track of, it was difficult at times as the narrator didn’t differentiate the voices much. I felt like i needed a family tree of sorts for the characters or at least the main families..
the mystery was alright but a bit predictable because of the conservation at the beginning of the book.
I liked the characters and Emory’s growth as a character, i felt bad for her from the start as she was isolated for being curious in nature and questioned things people would rather ignore blissfully.
I didn’t like the elders once i learned that the villagers die at 60 even when healthy and the elders get to live on how long they want essentially, this was before we found out they weren’t human, but that didn’t change much for me.
Abi was always creepy idc. A voice in your head tracking everything you do,say, and think, that can control you at whim, no thanks. Good riddance..

I kept hearing good things about this book and it did not disappoint! I knew it was a sci-fi romance but did not expect the thriller-esque ‘groundhog day’ plot line. I was there for all the twists and discoveries.
I did like the romance but did wish towards the end there was more detail or “stories” of what the older versions of themselves did/discovered other than about their relationship. Like i would love to know how they celebrated birthdays, etc.
It was interesting to see how the clones reacted to the situation and later the previous discoveries. The deaths from radiation/cancer were sad even though we know it was only the end for those clones and were technically not the people they believed they were.
I would have also liked more detail when they settled into the new planet instead of just snippets over months.
I don’t know how to feel about Ambrose’s mother who created the whole mission and clones, she didn’t even birth nor raise Ambrose and Minerva and probably non of the other Cusk siblings. She didn’t even tell the real Ambrose and Kodiak what they were doing until after they had already copied their minds for the mission. And using her voice for the ship was just creepy. I don’t think i like her at all.
I liked the happy ending that they got and im excited to read the sequel of the grown children and how they adapted to the planet instead the long(er) term.

This book was very enjoyable, a perfect escape. This was a great introduction the this series and am excited to see whats next.
I think i liked all the characters introduced other than the obvs villain. But even for Father Padron there is some pity felt as he believes himself rejected and in need of penance for his bloodline.
I don’t know if i like the way Cersie got or unlocked her powers, it makes sense with how she was sheltered so she couldn’t have known and i think the alternative of her finding out earlier without knowing about her bloodline would have been worse because i think it would bring some embarrassment or shame, not to mention she would probably be prosecuted in some way for being a woman with magic like the priests do.
The romance was nice, i liked the teasing and flirting but the “we can’t until my Claiming day” was a bit annoying.
The twist was a tiny bit predictable as Father Padron was already considered earlier as her potential father but i did not expect Nina to be her mother and i think that was well done. I think the twin thing was kind of brushed over and i would love for that to be explored in the next book. As well as Nina and her child being alive by the goddess and what that will mean for them.

Unlike the first book from this author, I really liked this one! It was very cozy and cute love story and I loved the disability rep! The pregnancy trope is not my fav but i think it is only when it comes at the end of the book/couple’s story.
The relationship was very cute and well done, you could tell they were made for each other from the start. I do wish we saw more of the questions because i liked that premise.
The spice was top notch! It felt intimate and not just lust that is passed off as love, ya know.
The last chapter before the epilogue was adorable! The baby/pregnancy box was so cute and perfect.
The epilogue kind of surprised me with the 3 kids, but it made me want a timestamp book of what happened in between with them opening the camp while handling August as new parents.

Disability rep! Loved that as it isn’t seen in many books or becomes the focus of them. Loved the family drama and growth and the found family aspect but the relationship still felt fast as there was no real sense of a timeline mentioned other than willows age like twice. Felt insta-lusty kinda too. I needed the tension drawn out more. Warren’s constant ur perfect kinda became annoying with how frequently he said it.
I also didn’t like the POV that much.
