Tim is a 34 year old school teacher, widower and father to the adorable Stella. Jamie is a 22 year old sports coordinator with an old soul and damage from a past relationship.

Both of these beautifully crafted main characters had me hooked from the very first page. With all that they’d endured in their lives both Tim and Jamie could still open themselves up to love and they really did have to work hard for their relationship, especially after the twist in the tale that made me gasp out loud and then silently wipe tears from my eyes.

I had so many feels whilst reading this book. From heartwarming to heartbreaking. From giggling at the jokes designed for a 7 year old, laughing at the banter between Tim and Jamie, fanning myself at the steamy scenes between them and then heartbreak at the ‘gasp out loud’ moment. Fortunately the story telling ability of Jax Calder rebuilt my heart and left me smiling for these two wonderful men who got their hard earned and well deserved HEA. I also really enjoyed the very interesting side characters and really hope they get their stories told.

Please heed the content warning. I will say that the grief and infidelity issues are handled is a very sensitive and sympathetic manner by the author.

3.5 stars. A beach vs mountain dating contest between Bastian and Xavier. They have instant chemistry and both love where they live even though they’ll soon be living hours apart. Of course a solution is found along with their HEA.
Xavier’s dog Bagel provides some entertainment in his coloured coordinated looks and love of bacon doughnuts.

5 stars. I adore Pride and Prejudice so Jane Austen tour guide Freddie and his best friend Darcy really made me smile. A fun friends to lovers filled with banter and snark, serious conversations constantly interrupted, meddling old ladies who love to knit, lots of pining and a longed for HEA.

4 stars. Vic and Bennett have a complicated history together and have been out of touch for over two years. Vic had very valid reasons for ending it between them but still remained head over heels for Bennett.

Circumstances have them back in each other’s orbit and they instantly know that the chemistry is still there and it doesn’t take long for it to ignite and for a long awaited HEA to happen. A very enjoyable read with two likeable main characters that never stopped loving each other.

5 stars. I loved this novella so much. Kai reminds me of a Golden Retriever puppy - impulsive, boundless enthusiasm, lives in the moment, a whirlwind who’s so warm and sweet. Rylan is the more meticulous play it safe type of guy who enjoys a quiet life. Yet they both just click.

These two come together when Kai asks Rylan for help to stop him from getting into yet another relationship, aka to be his anti wingman. It’s great fun watching them dating when they don’t even realise they are! A fun read that had me smiling from start to finish.

What a wonderful way to start a new series. A great cast of main and secondary characters, an interesting and engaging plot and the joy in knowing that there is more to come in this new series. Honeybridge is the quintessential small town where everyone knows everyone else’s business, family feuds last for generations and the townspeople are always there to help when needed.

Flynn, who can be rather prickly, and JT have a long history of antagonistic behaviour, disagreements and family rivalries between them. Circumstances have them back in each other’s orbit after 3 years and it doesn’t start off very well. Simmering beneath all the anger, tension and resentment is the undeniable chemistry swirling between them. A chemistry that cannot be contained even when old misunderstandings are still a bit raw and after a couple of bumps along the way, these two likeable characters finally get their well deserved HEA. There’s some family, work and relationship issues as well as steamy moments mixed with tender and intimate scenes all which left me smiling at the end.

This series just gets better with each book!

Oh Fabian, how I love him. His curiosity in all things, his hyper focus that makes him zone out, his good easy going nature, his bluntness, his unique logical mind and his love for cuddling. Also how he is perfect for Rhys who can be socially awkward, shy, nerdy and all science-y but is such a romantic at heart.

Circumstances have these two wonderful characters crossing paths and it’s the catalyst for a romance that is beautifully intertwined with a scientific conundrum and their thirst for knowledge and answers. Answers that impact the future of all the community species. It’s also great fun watching the previously ‘one night only’ Fabian lean into and embrace an actual romantic relationship. One that includes plenty of sizzling chemistry with steamy times and tender sweet moments to match.

This is a very engaging and enjoyable read with minimal angst and lots of laugh out loud moments. The plot flows along perfectly and had me hooked from the very first page and it was great catching up with the characters from previous books in this and the Hidden Species series who all had their roles to play. Highly recommended!

The island charm strikes again!

Trick does have a very unique way of getting attention from Boston, unfortunately it’s not the attention he really wants. His rather convoluted approach to gaining Boston’s affection does eventually pan out but not until there’s a bit of angst, lots of snark, chemistry that is combustible and plenty of heat mixed with some sweet.
This enemies with benefits to a longed for HEA is a very enjoyable and engaging read. I love the island lifestyle and the found family members that call it home and can’t wait for more in this refreshing series.

3.5 stars

Quick and easy enjoyable read. Will probably read more in the series when available.

Lovely small town instalove romance. Enjoyable and engaging easy read. Great cast of main and secondary characters.

I was eagerly waiting for Cody’s story and I was not disappointed. He’s always been a favourite character in the series and to see him finally get his HEA made my heart happy.

Cody loves his staff, can be a bit dramatic at times, is full of kindness for others and totally oblivious to the fact that Wade has feelings for him. He believes Wade still thinks of him as the gangly teen he met at summer camp many years prior. Wade feels he’s not the type of man Cody would want a relationship with but still carries a torch for him anyway. They remain being oblivious to each other’s feelings until the UST between them finally ignites and has them steaming up the sheets, and other places!

All of this occurs whilst the resort is extremely busy with special events, a wedding and numerous other guests. Not to mention a mystery death and other sinister happening’s going on.

I was hooked on this very enjoyable read from the very first page. There’s a great cast of main and secondary characters, an interesting and engaging plot, plenty of chemistry and heat between Cody and Wade and a longed for HEA worthy of the romance novels that Cody adores.
