Tim is a 34 year old school teacher, widower and father to the adorable Stella. Jamie is a 22 year old sports coordinator with an old soul and damage from a past relationship.

Both of these beautifully crafted main characters had me hooked from the very first page. With all that they’d endured in their lives both Tim and Jamie could still open themselves up to love and they really did have to work hard for their relationship, especially after the twist in the tale that made me gasp out loud and then silently wipe tears from my eyes.

I had so many feels whilst reading this book. From heartwarming to heartbreaking. From giggling at the jokes designed for a 7 year old, laughing at the banter between Tim and Jamie, fanning myself at the steamy scenes between them and then heartbreak at the ‘gasp out loud’ moment. Fortunately the story telling ability of Jax Calder rebuilt my heart and left me smiling for these two wonderful men who got their hard earned and well deserved HEA. I also really enjoyed the very interesting side characters and really hope they get their stories told.
