Milo is just surviving. The struggle of raising his 9 month old baby Sara whilst only working a part time job and coming from the wrong side of town makes it difficult to pay rent and have money to feed himself. No matter what life has thrown him, and there’s a lot, he does his best to remain optimistic and look for the sunshine between the dark clouds.
Ellis is a school teacher who always goes through Milo’s checkout at the grocery store. He’s older and has no plans for another relationship ever again after being deeply hurt by an ex.

These two wonderful men find themselves attracted to each other and slowly but surely they get to know each other. They both have internal struggles but finally give in to the chemistry between them and as the heat levels rise their connection deepens.
Some low angst occurs as Ellis questions the age gap and Milo questions his own worth. There’s also some external angst to contend with but nothing derails their well deserved HEA.

I enjoyed the engaging plot and there’s a great cast of main and secondary characters to keep things interesting and entertaining. I look forward to the next in the series.

A sweet, enjoyable read.

Eddie and Pearce are such wonderful characters and the bestest besties ever. Unfortunately Pearce has wanted to be more then besties for the past 5 years and the pining is still strong. Eddie is wary of the 11 year age difference between them and doesn’t quite understand how age gap relationships lasted. Add into the mix his confident and sassy 10 year old Lottie, his rather deplorable boyfriend and all the travelling for Pearce’s pro basketball career, Eddie really does struggle with how a relationship would look and work between them.

The caring, considerate and rather stubborn Pearce isn’t prepared to lose their friendship so continues pining until circumstances make Eddie really open his eyes to what’s possible for them. So begins a lovely, low angst romance that had me fully hooked from start to finish. The chemistry between Eddie and Pearce leads to some very steamy moments and the intimate moments are so tender and sweet.

“Kissing Peace was like experiencing sunshine for the first time after storm season. He radiated warmth and happiness, and I would never get tired of this. Of him.”

The side characters kept things interesting, had me smiling with their antics and at the end I felt as if I’d just been given a big hug!

So much steam
