A fun read with wonderful characters and great world building. A tiny dash of angst, steamy scenes and an HEA.

Wonderful start to the Puckboys series.

I have very much been looking forward to Ezra’s story ever since meeting him in the CU Hockey series and I was not disappointed.

Ezra is still beyond egotistical, super laid back, hilarious and enjoying his single lifestyle. Anton is bossy, uptight and image conscious. They have an initial hookup and when Anton gets traded to Ezra’s team their relationship changes and begins to slowly erode their initial incorrect opinions of each other and reveals the layers beneath each other’s masks. The family background of each character also explains some of their motivations as to why they choose to live as they do.
The ongoing growth and development of each of these characters and their relationship throughout the book is superbly written and I couldn’t help my huge smile when they got their HEA.

This is a well crafted, enjoyable and engaging read with sizzling chemistry, lots of very heated steamy times, minimal angst and a wonderful cast of main and secondary characters. The dialogue and banter between Ezra and Anton had me laughing out loud - they really enjoy taking digs at each other - and their competitiveness and ‘oneupmanship’ was so much fun.

Calder and Felix meet under less than auspicious circumstances but that doesn’t stop these two likeable characters falling into “insta lust”. I really enjoyed their journey as the romance morphed from insta lust to friends to dating and finally arriving at their HEA. They spent time getting to really know and learn about each other. This is where we discover that there’s much more to Calder than the super competitive, win at all costs persona he presents to the world. We also see the baggage carried by Felix and how that seriously affects his choices regarding dating, commitment, etc.

The romance element is very sweet with many low heat intimately tender scenes that beautifully show the connection between Calder and Felix. My favourite side character is young Charlotte who is so wonderfully unique and had me laughing out loud at times.

I found this to be a lovely, enjoyable and engaging low angst romance with two strong but complex main characters that kept things interesting.

Rating : 4.5 stars

Wonderful series finale.

This is a well written story that’s so perfectly paced that it kept me fully engaged and had me barracking for the MC’s from the first page.

Lewis and Jason are such amazing main characters with the “adorable factor” for Lewis being very high. He is the worlds most proficient PA whilst Jason is the star of a successful TV series with a huge fandom. Circumstances bring them together on social media and so begins their friendship and flirtations. The chemistry between them grows and ignites when they get together. Steam, lots of steam and lots of heat!

The low angst level is geared toward the career choices before Jason and not the relationship with Lewis so it was happy feels for me and no tears as they achieved their HEA.

This the final book in the series and can be read as a standalone but the characters from the other books all play a part so reading them would enhance the experience.

3.5 stars.

It’s over the top ridiculous and farcical with lots of laugh out loud moments. I can see it’s not going to be to everyone’s liking. I enjoyed it for the Regency romp that it is and didn’t take it too seriously.

Charley and Simon don’t get a angst free HEA in this second chance romance. Their first go round was broken up by malevolent interfering forces and the second go around is not without its own hurdles. With the odds of success seemingly against them, Simon the sweet professor and Charley the snarky museum curator fight for their happiness. All the while their found family interferes and meddles as much as possible, a snow storm has them trapped in a secluded “cabin” which is really a huge villa and past hurts rise again.

This is a lovely read with plenty of heat, some angst and a great cast of main and secondary characters. I laughed, felt a bit sad and smiled at the end.

Great start to a new series. 4.5 stars.

This is wonderful original tale of modern urban dragons, mages and magic in a world where the humans believe magic and the clans of mages and dragons disappeared centuries ago.
The very likeable Alric and Cameron are very attracted to each other but both take a while to overcome their insecurities before acting on it. When they finally get past that, the heat turns to high and not just because Alric is the King of the Fire Dragons! The banter between them had me laughing out loud at times and I enjoyed watching Alric just be himself and lowering the King persona.
I really enjoyed this engaging, low angst good vs evil dragon tale and look forward to seeing which of the great cast of side characters gets their story told next and what happens in the overall story arc.
