Great start to a new series. 4.5 stars.

This is wonderful original tale of modern urban dragons, mages and magic in a world where the humans believe magic and the clans of mages and dragons disappeared centuries ago.
The very likeable Alric and Cameron are very attracted to each other but both take a while to overcome their insecurities before acting on it. When they finally get past that, the heat turns to high and not just because Alric is the King of the Fire Dragons! The banter between them had me laughing out loud at times and I enjoyed watching Alric just be himself and lowering the King persona.
I really enjoyed this engaging, low angst good vs evil dragon tale and look forward to seeing which of the great cast of side characters gets their story told next and what happens in the overall story arc.
