WOW! This well crafted romantic suspense/slow burn had me hooked from page 1 and I couldn’t put it down. The whole story flowed along perfectly whether it was the the slow burn of the beautiful romance or the twists and turns of the suspenseful plot line.
Mark and Edward are such deep and complex characters who are very easy to love. A greater understanding of why they are both like they are is achieved by the depth and care given to their back stories. An instant attraction is felt between them but it takes a while, with many sweet and tender moments, before the heat factor ratchets up.
When you add in some action, fun side characters and a gorgeous courageous dog, you’re left with an absolutely fantastic read. I finished this book with a big smile on my face so pleased for Mark and Edward’s well earned HEA.
I highly recommend this instalment of the Auckland Med series as well as the previous books.

Wonderful end to a fantastic series.
Rafe and Cam will not sneak into your heart, they will barge right in, take up residence and loudly proclaim their refusal to leave - ever!
Besties since birth and all through childhood until in their teens, where Cam had to distance himself from Rafe for his own sanity. Circumstances have them living next door to each other and so begins Cam’s antics to get attention from Rafe.
Cam is so exuberant yet patient and able to listen when required whilst Rafe is in the midst of a personal crises and unhappy with his life. Slowly but surely they find the point of balance between them.
I loved every moment of their engaging, low angst romance. From the moment of their fragile reconnection, which was then patiently nurtured into a relationship, ending in a well deserved and beautiful HEA that left my heart beyond happy.
This is the fourth and final book in the Never Just Friends series but it can be read as a standalone. The characters from all the previous books are also here for the finale and it’s great to catch up with them all.

Licking Thicket never disappoints.
Sometimes you just want a low angst, fun, pun filled romance with great main and secondary characters that make you giggle, from the main characters Carter and Riggs to the monologuing drug lord and the gamer obsessed cousin. This levity is perfectly balanced with a bit of suspense to keep things interesting.
Circumstances bring Riggs, a bodyguard, and Carter, a cardiologist, together and even though Riggs doesn’t have the best first impression of Carter, there’s definitely some chemistry between them. They really do try their best to ignore said chemistry but it was never going to stay that way for long so some steamy times take place. I cheered these two on from the very beginning and just thinking about their HEA makes smile still.
This is a very enjoyable and engaging read with some feels, a bit of drama, some fantastically quirky side characters and lots and lots of puns. A terrific start to the Thicket Security series and I eagerly await the next book, which we do get a quick peek at.

Absolute brilliant start to a new series.
Wow, this wonderfully written, descriptive original storyline had me hooked from the very start. The pacing was so I good I had to keep turning the page to find out what was going to happen next. Add in some truly realistic and likeable main characters and I couldn’t put this book down.
Levi is funny, witty and a genuinely nice guy to all. He moves to York into an inherited house that has a very sinister history.
Blue is fierce, loyal, prickly and funny. He runs a ghost tour in York and ends up helping Levi with his “things that go bump in the night”.
The connection between the two main characters is pretty instant but I enjoyed how they took their time to develop that connection into something real for them. I also loved the relationship between Blue and his cantankerous old mentor Tom. All the characters had plenty of snark and witty banter to add a nice level of well timed humour to the proceedings.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to seeing where Levi and Blue take us next.

Sage and Gideon are back, with the usual sidekicks in place, to stop the demise of their town.
An engaging read with a different plot to the previous books in the series.

3.5 stars.
Not a bad read but not a fantastic read. There’s a lot of emphasis on family and they really are up in each other’s business, constantly. The romance between Monroe and Holden is slow burnish mainly due to the fact that Holden does have a boyfriend for the first half of the book. There’s no cheating but it does keep them as just friends for a while.
I didn’t mind this book but was expecting to click with it more than I did.
