Absolute brilliant start to a new series.

Wow, this wonderfully written, descriptive original storyline had me hooked from the very start. The pacing was so I good I had to keep turning the page to find out what was going to happen next. Add in some truly realistic and likeable main characters and I couldn’t put this book down.

Levi is funny, witty and a genuinely nice guy to all. He moves to York into an inherited house that has a very sinister history.

Blue is fierce, loyal, prickly and funny. He runs a ghost tour in York and ends up helping Levi with his “things that go bump in the night”.

The connection between the two main characters is pretty instant but I enjoyed how they took their time to develop that connection into something real for them. I also loved the relationship between Blue and his cantankerous old mentor Tom. All the characters had plenty of snark and witty banter to add a nice level of well timed humour to the proceedings.

I highly recommend this book and look forward to seeing where Levi and Blue take us next.
