WOW! This well crafted romantic suspense/slow burn had me hooked from page 1 and I couldn’t put it down. The whole story flowed along perfectly whether it was the the slow burn of the beautiful romance or the twists and turns of the suspenseful plot line.
Mark and Edward are such deep and complex characters who are very easy to love. A greater understanding of why they are both like they are is achieved by the depth and care given to their back stories. An instant attraction is felt between them but it takes a while, with many sweet and tender moments, before the heat factor ratchets up.
When you add in some action, fun side characters and a gorgeous courageous dog, you’re left with an absolutely fantastic read. I finished this book with a big smile on my face so pleased for Mark and Edward’s well earned HEA.
I highly recommend this instalment of the Auckland Med series as well as the previous books.
