A beautiful, thoughtful story about the power of chance meetings and how they can (re)-shape your life. I loved that everyone was so different and had their own motivations and point of views! And that they clashed and didn't get along but still stuck with each other.

First of all I adore H.G. well's writing. It's vivid, engaging and sparks the reader's imagination. I read this one quickly and enjoyed the sunny, yet disturbing, atmosphere it creates. I could feel myself absorbed into the world or Dr. Moreau's little island.
Most impactful was the ending for me when Prendick gets finally back to "civilisation" but realises that he still sees hints of the beasts in every human he meets. It makes you wonder if there really is a line between man and animal or if man are just masquerading as such until the moment of true character reveals itself.

This one was a breeze to read through. I found myself immersed in the intricately crafted story to lead from Paris to London. I loved how you felt like being in the cities, watching beloved landmarks in a new and interesting context. In the end you're left to wonder how much of it is taken out of context or how much of it is really the truth. And does it even matter ?
I'm grateful to have picked it up just at the right moment, when I was longing to read a longer book that still could entertain me to read through it quickly.

Just like the first one I enjoyed the sightseeing trip, this time through Paris. I believe that the explanations on certain typically French things work well for younger, non-European readers but for me all the explaining was a bit too on the nose. But I'm not the intended target group for this on so it's easy to look past.
All in all I enjoyed Tunnel of Bones and am looking forward to find out where Cassidy & Jacob end up in the next book.

I loved the way Elizabeth Gilbert narrated her book. Have to admit that on the last hour or so I kept drifting off and losing interest. But overall this was very enjoyable to listen to.
