Such an interesting concept. The actual author as a character in his novel. Surprisingly it's not as cringey as I would've thought it. And the crime is really well-thoughtout and intriguing. I saw some of the twists fall into place before they happened but didn't manage to guess the murderer. Next time then.

Honestly I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. It's certainly a quick read but that still lingers afterwards. The world is rich with secrets and promises and I can't help but be enchanted by it. It's human kind on its last leg and still in the there is a hope that life can be ok - even if not everyone survives. I like that.
And now need the next one to become available at my library stat!

At the end of this I feel like I've listened to some stream of consciousness rambling rather than a book. The one constant throughout to me was her dealing with her eating disorder. Unfortunately that's not a topic I can really relate to but it will probably be more impactful for someone who can relate to these troubles. In the end Lily Collins encourages you to have a positive outlook on life, work hard for what you believe in and to take a risk every now and then to reap the reward.

A very human, heart-warming and encouraging read that shines light on a very special human being. I loved the look behind the curtain and how she worked so hard to make life better for the less-privileged and fortunate. How she still does. Great!

I admit that it took me a good portion of the book to get into it. But as the pages went by I felt closer and closer to the characters and the overall plot was just too intriguing and amazing to stop. It also makes me miss the show so much more...

I enjoyed reading this a lot and can't wait to dig into my next story using this method.

So entertaining and enjoyable! I kept guessing who could've been the murderer but I just couldn't decide! Also the characters are just wonderful and different and full of life! Such a fun ride.

this was so amazing. cannot wait what the next one will hold. also I'm a little sad that the series will be over soon. still the addition of Owen as a character was nice. He brings a new perspective to everything. I also appreciated that Granuaile was off doing her own thing for most of this.
