A quick and easy read. Super cute and just all around fun!
The modern attitudes and idioms threw me off at first, but it added a lot of personality to the book. Loved the adventure and the friends that Fallon and Cinn (well, mostly Cinn lol) made along the way! And of course they were very cute.

Meh. I think I’m just not super into the whole “evil child” trope.
Christoper was the worst, almost everything about his character infuriated me. Hannah was likable but it got hard to read her POV because I felt so frustrated on her behalf.
When my kindle said I was 97% done with the book I was confused and thought, how is this story going to wrap up in the next few pages? It doesn’t. The ending doesn’t feel like an ending all and left a lot to be desired.

What a wonderful book to complete the Salacious Players Club series. No flops, all bops.
I ate this book up. Maggie is by far my favorite FMC from the series. She’s always been so aloof and mysterious I just loved getting to know her a bit better. Beau had such a wonderful, and well-deserved, redemption arc. I really saw Beau in a new light. Because yeah, he’s fucked up a lot in the past, but there is a lot of unfair pressure on him to just be okay with everything happening in his life and to just grin, bear it, and move on.
This is the only book that’s age gap didn’t give me the ick. One point Sara Cate!
This book did make me dislike Charlie a bit, but honestly she was already my least favorite of the FMC’s. She put a lot of unfair expectations on Beau. I like Praise but I cringe at her and Emerson’s excessive PDA.
This book’s biggest offensive: why in the ever loving fuck would Maggie take Charlie/Emerson’s safe word? The ex-girlfriend and FATHER of Beau?? That’s so weird and it’s not explained at all. HUH??????? I love the title Mercy but come on now 😭

I’m sad to say that this book did not hit for me, especially following the first two.
I did really like Lowell and Moriah and I enjoyed the sex scenes. They are a really compatible and cute couple! That being said it was hard to sympathize with Moriah’s infertility struggles because she entered into a marriage where she knew they weren’t biologically compatible. Why would she think her relationship was the exception to science?
I absolutely hate COVID being represented in any fictional media. Too real life for me and not fun at all.
While I’m happy with the character growth, for a book that centers around a breeding kink it was disappointing that she never got pregnant. Not even in an epilogue! This is the one book where I wanted a pregnancy epilogue because it made sense to the overall plot.
Also I love werewolf books and I wanted Lowell to mark her.
I enjoyed the teaser for the next book though and will definitely be picking it up.

Pretty good, but not a knockout. As to be expected with Rosie Danan, the book was very sex positive and I also think Naomi’s relationship with Judaism was done with sensitivity and respect (though, I’m not Jewish so my perspective doesn’t matter much). I also just love Rosie’s writing.
Ethan and Naomi were both wonderful characters and I like that even though their mutual attraction was instant they took their time getting to know each other before things became romantic. No insta-love! That being said, also much less spice compared to The Roommate.
I found Naomi’s big speech at her high school to be awkward and out of place. I never really felt a big cathartic moment when the conflict was resolved. I’m also disappointed she didn’t start going by Hannah again, at least with Ethan. I just don’t think the book stuck the landing.
I kind of hate religion so I didn’t personally love the focus on it in the novel. In my jaded opinion, people should be leaving religion not rediscovering it lol.

Look, I could never put this cover on my bookshelf. Designing the cover around a milk bottle full of cum was a choice. But damnit it’s a good book 😭 I said what I said.
My gold standard for monster smut. I loved the town, the characters, and I think the relationship built was very genuine and cute.

This was such a beautiful book. I think the character arc of both Wallace and Hugo was so wonderfully done, especially with Wallace. He really was a shitty person in life but I think his character development was very real and believable.
I literally cannot remember the last time I’ve cried (probably not a good thing), but I cried multiple times reading this book. Happy tears, sad tears, all the tears. Klune really knows how to tug on your heart strings and elicit an emotional response.
My only “complaint” was that I wasn’t really fond of Mei when we first meet her (I understood her more and liked her by the end) but while it was just Wallace and Mei I felt frustrated by both of them.
TJ Klune does it again and I cannot wait to pick up another one of his books.

A very heavy romance. Shane and Eva trauma bond over a week long binge when they’re teenagers. Because the week ended abruptly and without closure, the connection is still there. They reconnect in their 30s as sober, successful authors who have done a lot of work on themselves to overcome their respective traumas.
I wish their bond had a little more development when they were adults that was more than just an insatiable feeling they have towards one another. Regardless, I still loved them as a couple. Maybe a little codependent but we all deal with trauma the best we can. I also loved both characters individually, and I enjoyed Eva’s daughter, Audre (though I feel like she behaved like an adult in an unrealistic way for a 12 year old).
I also loved that Eva was an erotica author! It’s a valid genre and deserves respect.
This book had a handful of pop culture references. Not a whole lot, but I can’t stand any in books.

I absolutely devoured this series. I was anxious about starting it because the premise is definitely a bit cringe and sounds like something you’d find on Wattpad. However this story was SO GOOD from start to finish.
Lana and Logan were both so likable and had great chemistry. I loved that even though their circumstance was so fucked up their love really was pure. From the synopsis I thought Lana was a serial killer because something was wrong with her and she couldn’t help it, but she has a very heartbreaking backstory and a very good reason for killing. You really root for her.
Is it the most realistic story? No. Is it a good time? Fuck yeah. If you’re just looking for a wild time and to be sucked into a book for a few hours this is the one.
