This was so flipping adorable. Lighthearted, sweet and fun. I love Bridger’s sense of humor and Leo is the perfect human. I can’t wait to see where this series goes.
All over, a good adventure if you’re a fan of the grimdark genre. I’m not so some scenes were a little difficult for me. The third book doesn’t hold up as well as the first two, just because people start doing things that I found to be inconsistent with the character or that I didn’t think they had enough knowledge about what was going on to be doing what they were doing. Still, it was a fun, exciting ride full of twists and turns with a good, solid ending.
This was so very excellent. I don’t even have enough words for it. I stayed up way too late reading it, forced myself to put it down only to pick it back up again and force myself to put it down again. So so so so so good. I can’t even say anything else about this except for how very glad I am that this book exists and how happy I am to have read it.
I love love love love this series. It’s so quintessentially wintertime. Not just with the crackling fire in the fire place and warm mugs of peppermint hot cocoa and frost on the windows and all. More so that it perfectly captures that feeling of being snowed in and finding an adventure in the nooks and crannys of the home you know so well.
Additionally, there’s lost treasure, ghosts, subterfuge, smugglers and secret agents. There’s a TTRPG that I really want to play. And there’s confused humans just trying to figure out their lives. What more do you want?
Seriously. I love this series.

This one holds up to every expectation Turner has set for this series. I am a person who likes all the plot lines tied up and there’s just one that doesn’t quite tie up. But I’m an optimistic person so I’ll hold out for it to tie up sometime in the near future.
Really enjoying this series. It is a wild ride, fun and exciting and imaginative. I adore Pat and Jono, and their ever growing pack/family. I love the thrilling adventure and the way everything twists and turns. A great urban fantasy setting and mystery.
I docked it one star just because the mystery and thrilling-ness of it all can get to be too much sometimes and I have to put it down and come back to it later. Which irks me just because I want to inhale these books like delicious Thai food. So docking it one star feels a little petty but there it is.
Great series (so far - clearly I’m only on book 2). Highly recommend.
