I really loved this. I loved it more than Carry On, in fact. I loved the road trip and the weird side adventures it takes them on. I adore Shepard. I'm shipping Shepard and Penny super hard (and I think I'm meant to, but anyways). I can't wait for the next book that's apparently coming out (just based on the cliffhanger that Wayward Son ends on).

It took me 30 chapters to really get into this book. (Almost half the book.) But once I was in, I was super all in. I loved the play off of Harry Potter. I thought this was a wonderful, fun romp with some touching moments. I’m very much looking forward to reading Wayward Son.

This is essentially a story about a group of traumatized people who form a sports team and play against the mob while fighting amongst themselves. I am unsure how I feel about this book, but reading the second book isn’t out of the question.
