My favorite story was "A Door in the Wall", I found it interesting how the narrator was just the listener to the main character! It was so bittersweet and interesting how even as he had more freedom as an adult, he still choose responsibility over the thing that would bring him the most joy(until the end I guess?) .
I hated the second story though, didn't like the MC or the story at all. Mostly just told me I should get away with breaking as many rules as possible.

Wonderfully highlighted real world and real people examples of how AI will affect people, including the people that are so often forgotten in AI stories. This book though is more of an overview and doesn't go in depth into any of those topics of stories, so keep that in mind if you have already read a lot about AI/know a lot. Really interesting.

This book found me at a perfect time and I really enjoyed it. I loved the mix of absurdity and reflection that the book covers. It wasn't a typical "burnout is so bad and awful" sort of book. The prose was straightforward and made me giggle several times. I really enjoyed the narrator and the other character she met along the way. Some of the connections made by the end surprised me and made me feel like the story really came full circle!

Spooky story that started out by building the tension well, till the end. It felt rushed and to me lost all that apprehension I had built up.

Interesting Southern Gothic stories with a queer twist. I really loved the Lighting Man story and how it reflected on queer history and queer ancestors.

I thought I hated Russian lit thanks to a high school experience with Crime and Punishment, but I think Chekov is helping change that! Chekov managed to capture his characters and bring me full into their emotional world in only a few pages. Well done and very enjoyable.

I found all the characters to be so believable flawed as people. I never knew what was going to happen next and how much this book would upset me at so many points. Since I read the 40th anniversary edition, it started with an intro of Irving reflecting on the book and how he feels about it all these years on. That was really interesting and did make me more excited to read the book.

The talent of Sana Takeda is continues to astound me, and it melds so well into the words Majorie Liu is writing. (If anyone knows a good interview where they talk about the process of working together let me know). I do need to take breaks sometimes, cause there is a lot of violence in this series. Love seeing how Zinn and Maka are growing and changing their relationship. So much mystery!!!
