4.5 stars.
I will highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about space, or anyone who needs a little bit of inspiration or courage to fly towards their dreams. Chris hadfield, aim to educate people about space, from this book, in my opinion, has been accomplished. However, the book was a little tedious and repetitive but still it was a great read for those who seek knowledge and love and positivity and inspiration in their life.
Chris hadfield's thoughts on the power of negative thinking is edifying. I have always felt that by thinking positive all the time you are turning your eyes from a potential threat. Like Elizabeth Glibert, wrote in her book 'Big magic', being fearless and being brave is different: being fearless mean you are not acknowledging the existence of threats and failures, and being brave mean you are aware and prepared to face the challenges head on. We can only face any sort of ordeal, if we acknowledge the fact that our plans can often go awry.

This book was a 4.5 for me but I am still rating it 5 because I really loved the series. To be honest, this book was my least favourite of the 3. I just didn't get the climax part. I just didn't get why modern day weapons were a problem for peculiars? Why they didn't use their peculiar-ness to take control the of situation? I don't get it why one of the character had to die? Or maybe ransom riggs saved that character to write a spin-off series based on that character. I wanted more action from miss peregrine, she was absolutely my favorite but, unfortunately, she wasn't given many chances to prove what a great leader and guardian she was. I didn't like the fight scene between the two over sized creatures in end and the whole idea of soul sucking turning you into a giant, it was quite lame.
Anyway, I am glad that ransom will be exploring more of this world but, damn! I am going to miss all these characters that have grown to love so much. I also can't wait to see these characters on the big screen.
I hardly re-read any book but I am sure I will be visiting peculiardom again, pretty soon.

I am on a Miss Pergerine's marathon; this series is extremely addictive. Highly recommended!!
Hollow city - the second book in the series - is just as good as the first one. However, when juxtaposed with the first book, I found the first one slightly better. There were many missed opportunities in the story. The character were peculiar which makes them not only different but also very powerful, but they hardly used their peculiarity to their advantage. There were many instances when Emma wanted to use her gift but was told not to by the protaganist - Jacob. It was as if he desprately wanted to experience the adventurous life he had vicariously experienced before from his grandpa's stories. That was my only complain from the book, but I still loved it enough to give it 5 stars.

how there's nothing to do except watch your remaining do- nations until they switch you off. It's horror movie stuff and most of the time people don't want to think about it. Not the whitecoats, not the carers -and usually not the donors. But now and again, a donor will bring it up, as Tommy did that evening, and I wish now we'd talked about it. As it was, after I dismissed it as rubbish, we both shrank back from the whole territory. At least, though, I knew it was on Tommy's mind after that, and I was glad he'd at least confided in me that far. What Im saying iS that all in all I was under the impression we were dealing with the fourth donation pretty well together, and that's why I was so knocked off balance by what he came out with that day we walked around the field.
.................................
I can't even explain what i am feeling right now. The ending just made burst into endless tears, seriously. What the hell kazuo ishiguro have you done to me? I have no words to explain how beautiful this book was and all the feelings it made me feel. I know a lot of people have issues with how this book ends, but in my opnion, the ending is the most beautiful part of this book. It shows the characters were humane than us, they didnt run away, like most of us would have, and sacrificed themselves for what they had brought into existence for.

Amazing! Amazing!! Amazing!!!. Thank you susain cain for writing this book.
This book is so inspiring, and mind you, it isn't a pep talk at all, every thing that susain has written in this book is backed up by scientific research. I learned so much from this book, definitely gonna re-read this one soon.
All my life I have felt like a square peg in a round hole, even though, i did manage to learn how to mask my true self in different colors, like a chameleon, in order to fit into different situations and social settings, there was still the void, the restlessness and the guilt of not being true to myself that this book helped me to make peace with.

Mind blowing. It took me a while to understand what was actually going on in the story, and when I did, I was fascinated by how well written and well thought of the plot was. When I was reading I was completely lost in the story, and I wasn't reading, I was thinking about the characters. The book lying beside my bed kept calling me to leave all the things and read, and that's exactly what I did. lol.

Good turn to you, gentlefriends. Time is of the essence so before wasting any we should get down the business.
This story follows a girl named Mia Corver. She is no ordinary dona, little doves; She is a deadly assassin on a mission to hunt down and kill the people who executed her father for the sin he didn't not commit and killed her entire familia. If you are thinking that this story is about her learning the lesson of forgiveness or beginning to trust the system then you are wrong, gentlefriends. This story is about a killer, a murderer, a blade who serves the lady the of the night. Shocking, aye?
The story alternate between two timelines: past and present. In the past timeline, we learn about the events that caused Mia to join The Red Church - a cult of infamous assassins. In present, she is an acolyte at The Red Church training among the deadliest of assassins. Her training includes swordsmanship, thievery, art of seduction and poison. However, Life at The Red Church isn't always rainbows and unicorns, specially when the killer is on the loose. She must survive amidst the trials and treachery, if she wants to taste the sweet vengeance.
If vengeance has a mother, her name is patience.
This book is based in The Republic of Iteryan - a fictional place - that has its own history, myths, culture, religious values and intricate politics. I have never seen any author being so meticulous about their world. Everything from plot to characters is unlike anything i have read. Writing is rich and opulent; characters are ambitious, dark and twisted.
Nevernight chronicles is a mix of Game of Thrones and Revenge tv series.
If you like Arya stark and love the concept of many faced Gods then you will love this book.

Space, Artificial intelligence, warships, romance, action, suspense, deadly virus, zombies, all packed in one book. what else can you really ask for?
With the peculiar style of this book, the authors took a risk, and it really paid off. I literally had to turn the book upside down at times to read. it's simply the most gorgeous, creative and unique book I have ever read. It basically is a dossier- a detailed report of events that took place during the battle of karenza, which means you learn about everything through files, reports, emails, cam feeds etc. The book is filled with twists and turns that you will never see coming, and that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
"Are you afraid?"
"Yes"
"The energy never stops, remember. It changes forms."
"I am still afraid."
The conversation between the AI and our protagonist were so astonishing it melted my heart and made me feel warm, like the words were hugging me tight.
"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act."
In 2575, the planet Kerenza recieves a surprise visit from a corporation called Beitech, who brings missiles and bombs for the planet where our protagonist, kady and her boyfriend ezra, lives. Kady and Ezra had no idea that their relationship wasn't the only thing that was ending, but their entire planet was on the verge of destruction, the moment the first BieTech warship flew over their head. when the first bomb drops, kady and ezra make a run for their lives and ends up on different space crafts, owned by two different groups.
The spacecraft (Alexander) ezra ends up in has a very sophisticated artificial intelligence. It recieves critical damage during Alexander's encounter with BieTech's warships, and when the AI wakes up again, it goes rogue, takes control of the ship and kill a bunch of people who were infected by the virus the bombs had unleashed. For the AI it was mercy killing not a massacre.
"Am I not merciful? "
In Kady's spacecraft no one has any idea what's going on with Alexander. Kady uses her hacking skills to figure out what her superiors weren't revealing. When she finds out about the virus and AI's malfunction, she decides to help. And That's how the adventure begins my friends.
"At the apex of callousness she found zeros and ones. "
It took me 3 sittings to finish 600 pages. I have never read anything this fast before. Loved everything about this book and can't wait for next.
