Good turn to you, gentlefriends. Time is of the essence so before wasting any we should get down the business.

This story follows a girl named Mia Corver. She is no ordinary dona, little doves; She is a deadly assassin on a mission to hunt down and kill the people who executed her father for the sin he didn't not commit and killed her entire familia. If you are thinking that this story is about her learning the lesson of forgiveness or beginning to trust the system then you are wrong, gentlefriends. This story is about a killer, a murderer, a blade who serves the lady the of the night. Shocking, aye?

The story alternate between two timelines: past and present. In the past timeline, we learn about the events that caused Mia to join The Red Church - a cult of infamous assassins. In present, she is an acolyte at The Red Church training among the deadliest of assassins. Her training includes swordsmanship, thievery, art of seduction and poison. However, Life at The Red Church isn't always rainbows and unicorns, specially when the killer is on the loose. She must survive amidst the trials and treachery, if she wants to taste the sweet vengeance.

If vengeance has a mother, her name is patience.

This book is based in The Republic of Iteryan - a fictional place - that has its own history, myths, culture, religious values and intricate politics. I have never seen any author being so meticulous about their world. Everything from plot to characters is unlike anything i have read. Writing is rich and opulent; characters are ambitious, dark and twisted.

Nevernight chronicles is a mix of Game of Thrones and Revenge tv series.

If you like Arya stark and love the concept of many faced Gods then you will love this book.
