“Summer, 1518. A strange sickness sweeps through Strasbourg: women dance in the streets, some until they fall down dead. As rumors of witchcraft spread, suspicion turns toward Lavinia and her family, and Lavinia may have to do the unimaginable to save herself and everyone she loves.
Five centuries later, a pair of red shoes seal to Rosella Oliva’s feet, making her dance uncontrollably. They draw her toward a boy who knows the dancing fever’s history better than anyone: Emil, whose family was blamed for the fever five hundred years ago. But there’s more to what happened in 1518 than even Emil knows, and discovering the truth may decide whether Rosella survives the red shoes.”
I picked this randomly on audiobook and thought it was just okay and nothing memorable. I liked Lala as a character. This is told in multi point of view and really enjoyed that. I really liked the historical fiction aspect of this book.

Ruthie works for a retirement villa and manages it. One day when she was filling up a client’s car, she sees a man who needed help and she decides to be a Good Samaritan by paying for his gas. He has tattoos and he’s handsome. While Ruthie is 25, she dresses like a grandma and is quirky and this man makes fun of it. Well, it turns out he is the son to the owner of the property and he must live their and make a living as a punishment. Teddy needs the money for his half of his tattoo parlor and would rather work as a tattoo artist than for his dad in business. Will these two opposites attract?
I am a sucker for rom coms and picked it up on Libby with not knowing what it was about. I started it this morning on audio and finished it after work when I was beyond exhausted. But, this book was cute and fun. I loved seeing the elderly in this book and the two women Teddy has to work for. They were hilarious. The friendship Ruthie creates were great and was great for her character development. The romance was sweet and I loved how it was enemies to friends to lovers. I enjoyed how Ruthie had to break out of the religious scrutiny from her parents since her dad is a reverend and she has some trauma by an ex boyfriend who told her dad stuff. This book was overall great and I would recommend it.

“Meg Mackworth’s hand-lettering skill has made her famous as the Planner of Park Slope, designing custom journals for her New York City clientele. She has another skill too: reading signs that other people miss. Knowing the upcoming marriage of Reid Sutherland and his polished fiancée was doomed to fail is one thing, but weaving a secret word of warning into their wedding program is another. Meg may have thought no one would spot it, but she hadn’t counted on sharp-eyed, pattern-obsessed Reid.
A year later, Reid has tracked Meg down to find out how she knew that his meticulously planned future was about to implode. But with a looming deadline and a bad case of creative block, Meg doesn’t have time for Reid’s questions—unless he can help her find her missing inspiration. As they gradually open up to each other, both try to ignore a deepening connection between them. But the signs are there—irresistible, indisputable, urging Meg to heed the messages Reid is sending her, before it’s too late . . . “
Reid and Meg are just cute together and I just love them. I once upon of a time requested this on Netgalley and never gotten around to the arc, so I finally listened to the audiobook! I liked how Meg gets more creative when she is around Reid and how Reid starts to love New York because of Meg. They both make one another better, which is beautiful. There were a lot of witty and funny moments in this book and I love when books are like that. The drama was done well in the book too and I really enjoyed this book. I wished I picked it up sooner and I can’t wait to read more books by Kate.

To be honest I contemplated going between a 2 star or a 3 star rating and decided to go with a 3 star reading after really thinking about it. I am on tour with Turn the Page Tours and I go to their Instagram a lot and look at their new tours and I signed up for this one because the cover is absolutely stunning. I’m a sucker for picking up books because of their covers. Anyway, then I read the synopsis and thought it really sounded interesting. I thought the premise was done well for the book and I really liked the mystery of Iris’ memories and her true identity. I liked the side characters with their powers. The biggest problem I had with this book was that I had a hard time connecting with the characters. Like I felt like they were there, but it was hard to see them more than one dimensional and be able to feel their emotions. It was as if there was a wall or a block and because of this, it made it really hard for me to want to pick up this book to read. I may read the sequel and we will see with time. Thank you to the publisher, netgalley, the author, and Turn the Page Tours for this opportunity.
“In the second brilliant, action-packed book in the Charlotte Holmes series, Jamie Watson and Charlotte Holmes are in a chase across Europe to untangle a web of shocking truths about the Holmes and Moriarty families.
Jamie and Charlotte are looking for a winter break reprieve in Sussex after a fall semester that almost got them killed. But nothing about their time off is proving simple, including Holmes and Watson’s growing feelings for each other.
When Charlotte’s beloved Uncle Leander goes missing from the Holmes estate—after being oddly private about his latest assignment in a German art forgery ring—the game is afoot once again, and Charlotte throws herself into a search for answers.
So begins a dangerous race through the gritty underground scene in Berlin and glittering art houses in Prague, where Holmes and Watson discover that this complicated case might change everything they know about their families, themselves, and each other.”
I read the first book back in 2017 or 2018 and I finally, finally picked this up on audiobook. I have been wanting to finish this series, but I always find other books to read. I really enjoy Holmes and Watson and their relationship and how it is becoming more. I think Charlotte is brilliant on how she deals with the mysteries. I did find this not as great as the first book and I wanted more of the mystery instead of Holmes and Watson pining. I will still read the next installment.

“Here is the story of Klara, an Artificial Friend with outstanding observational qualities, who, from her place in the store, watches carefully the behavior of those who come in to browse, and of those who pass on the street outside. She remains hopeful that a customer will soon choose her. Klara and the Sun is a thrilling book that offers a look at our changing world through the eyes of an unforgettable narrator, and one that explores the fundamental question: what does it mean to love?”
I love how advanced Klara is and how she goes out of her way to save her child, Josie. I love the relationship between Josie and Klara. It’s kind of scary how Klara can mimic peoples behaviors and mannerisms. It was a great book and I recommend it to anyone.

“Stephanie and Patrick are adjusting to life with their colicky twin girls. The babies are a handful, but even as Stephanie struggles with the disorientation of sleep deprivation, there's one thing she's sure of: she has all she ever wanted.
Then Erica, a woman from Patrick's past, appears and makes a disturbing accusation. Patrick had always said his first wife's death was an accident, but now Erica claims it was murder.
Patrick insists he's innocent, that this is nothing but a blackmail attempt. Still, Erica knows things about Patrick—things that make Stephanie begin to question her husband. Stephanie isn't sure what, or who, to believe. As Stephanie's trust in Patrick begins to falter, Patrick stands to lose everything. Is Patrick telling the truth—is Erica the persuasive liar Patrick says she is? Or has Stephanie made a terrible mistake?”
I could not put this down! It was so good. I spent most of the time thinking I think this person did it. But, there were few twists that get you and you think oh my gosh. It was fast paced and just well done. You’ll be addicted to it. You don’t know who to believe-Patrick or Erica based off of some shady traits of one another. Stephanie was was a strong woman to go through all of this and to think of her twin daughters. I usually am disappointed by thrillers, but this one did not disappoint.

“Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases—a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.
It doesn't help that Stella has Asperger's and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice—with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan—from foreplay to more-than-missionary position...
Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but crave all of the other things he's making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic...”
I originally read this when it came out because of Book of the Month. Anyway, I dnfed it after 200 pages and only had 114 pages left in the book. In my original review I said there was a lot of awkward dialogue. As well as not feeling a connection between our main characters. Then, I said there was a lot of repetitive thoughts over and over again. So, I finally finished the book via audiobook. Here is the reason why I picked it up again. I tried The Bride Test when it came out a few years ago and fell in love with it and then I just picked up The Heart Principle from Book of the Month. So, I decided I need to try it again. I did find things awkward again, but I associated it to because the main character is on the autism spectrum and at the time of reading this I had not had much experience with people who are on the spectrum like I have experienced now for my job. I did find this book to be a little lackluster compared to The Bride Test, but there were cute parts of this book and I listened to it within a day, so that says something. I do recommend this series.

Persephone is a Goddess who disguises herself as a mortal and lives in the mortal world. She is attending college and only has a few months left before she graduates. She gets a journalism internship and is excited for it. She goes to a club to celebrate her internship with her best friend who is her roommate. Persephone invites a man to her table to teach her cards and she ends up finding out it is Hades and the next day she finds out she is in a contract with him. She has six months to give life to something in the Underworld or she will be living with him. On top of that she decides to write an article about Hades to expose him at how awful of a god he is. Will she undercover the true Hades? Will she fall for him?
I have been wanting to read this series for ever, but kept putting it off. It sat on my Kindle Unlimited forever and then they took it off, so I had to buy this book. I’m glad I had to buy it because it was excellent. I love the growth of both Hades and Persephone and how they complement one another and make each other better. The romance was HOT. I can’t find anything wrong with this story and I loved seeing the gods clubs and the Underworld. I can’t wait to explore more of these characters and the world they live in. Highly recommend if you want a romance or a Greek mythology book.

This takes place right after Glint and the only thing I am going to say is Auren is trying to take back her life and deal with the toxic Midas.
This one was definitely the best out of the series. We finally have romance and some spice! Midas is a freaking dick and you really see how toxic he is. I am glad Auren finally notices how horrible he is. Rip and Auren are just cute and I can’t wait to have more of them in the future.
