Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne
4.0

Ruthie works for a retirement villa and manages it. One day when she was filling up a client’s car, she sees a man who needed help and she decides to be a Good Samaritan by paying for his gas. He has tattoos and he’s handsome. While Ruthie is 25, she dresses like a grandma and is quirky and this man makes fun of it. Well, it turns out he is the son to the owner of the property and he must live their and make a living as a punishment. Teddy needs the money for his half of his tattoo parlor and would rather work as a tattoo artist than for his dad in business. Will these two opposites attract?
I am a sucker for rom coms and picked it up on Libby with not knowing what it was about. I started it this morning on audio and finished it after work when I was beyond exhausted. But, this book was cute and fun. I loved seeing the elderly in this book and the two women Teddy has to work for. They were hilarious. The friendship Ruthie creates were great and was great for her character development. The romance was sweet and I loved how it was enemies to friends to lovers. I enjoyed how Ruthie had to break out of the religious scrutiny from her parents since her dad is a reverend and she has some trauma by an ex boyfriend who told her dad stuff. This book was overall great and I would recommend it.
