Zea is a rebel and must find a way to help the cause to end the royalty, so she enters the princess trials. From there she is ridiculed and put through some dangerous stimulations. Will she make it and win over the prince?
The Princess Trials had a lot of world building, which was great. However, there was a lot of info dumping and slowness through the story. The ending felt rushed.

The Boyfriend Project starts out with Samiah finding out with two other girls about the man they are dating is a cheater and scammer. She chews out the guy and the video goes viral. The three girls become friends and create a boyfriend project of swearing men off for six months so they can work on themselves. However, what happens when a handsome man name Daniel starts working at Samiah’s work?
I really enjoyed The Boyfriend Project. It is told in the point of views of Samiah and Daniel. I loved the romance. But, I especially loved the friendship in the book of the three women. I highly recommend this for something cute, funny, and as a fast read.

It is a man’s world and men are inferior to women. Only men can enter the labyrinth challenge and only can go to university. Ren, a female decides to disguise herself as a man to enter the labyrinth contest so she can attend university and become the first female scientist.
I really enjoyed To Best the Boys and I just loved Ren’s character. She is strong, smart, and just amazing. The world building was well done too. I just wish we had more time in the labyrinth.

I enjoyed the writing in this book and all the characters. Ren can wield silver and is wanted by Darek and Holland to be the face of the rebellion. Heath is an evil prince. Adley and Lesa are lovers who cannot be caught since they are Children of the King-a type of guard/assassin for the King.
The book was paced well, however I wanted more world building and more action. The book lacked on those. The character development was great. I want more wrap up for each character. This was just okay.

Five people from five houses must compete to become the next emperor or empress. They must compete in three trials to see who is the best.
I really loved House of Dragons. There were fierce characters and of course awesome dragons. This book was fast paced and had a lot of action and drama throughout it. I’m already wanting the sequel, which is going to be epic.

Selah’s proposal is rejected by her childhood friend. She is sent by her stepmother to Europe to find a suitor. She must come back engaged.
The Beholder was good and I enjoyed Selah and her meeting each of her suitors. However, I felt like she fell in love with her suitors easily and it was somewhat predictable. Overall it was really good and I can’t wait for the sequel.

Oh my gosh, this book! I could not put it down and wanted more and more from it. It was beautifully done and written.
Evelyn Hugo is an actress and over the course of her career she marries 7 husbands. What happened with each husband? What are some secrets about Evelyn? What did she do to get her career and to keep it going?
I loved the complexity of the story. I loved all the characters and going through Evelyn’s life. Definitely one of my new favorite books now.

First of all, I wasn’t a fan of The Broken Girls, so I was really hesitant to read The Sundown Motel. I wanted to read it because I’ve seen a lot of hype around this book. But, man, I was glad to pick this book up. It’s creepy and griping.
This book is told in two different timelines-1982 and 2017. It’s told through Viv’s point of view and from Carly’s point of view-her niece. Viv goes missing in 1982 in Fells, New York, a small town with a lot of unsolved murders. In 2017, Carly’s mom dies and Carly decides to go to Fells to learn the truth about Viv and what happened to her. From there Carly follows the footsteps of her aunt and even works the night shift that her aunt once worked at the Sundown Motel. When working at the Sundown Motel, both women experience spooky situations with ghosts and learn the truth about the Motel’s eerie history.
The Sundown Motel was a story that was hard to put down with its eerie tones and eagerly wanting to know what happened to Viv as well as the other girls who have been murdered. You won’t be disappointed with this book.

The beginning of this was very good, however once I hit the middle of the book it really started to fall flat. I love that this is Les Miserable meets Six of Crows with some heists. Yet, it seemed like Nina, our main character, had it easy. There was never any real struggle during her heists. Then, I feel like the world building and character development could have been done a lot better. I want to know more about the world and see more aspects to the characters. The pacing was well done as well as the writing. I loved the friendship between Ettie and Nina.
