4-1-9 is a serious problem in Africa, specifically, the country of Nigeria. 4-1-9 is when someone sends an email, usually going to the spam folder, hoping to hook an idiot into sending them some money. usually they will open with lines such as "I am a Nigerian Diplomat in great danger" or "You have been contacted as next of kin to a deceased relative".

These swindles often gain the crook in the millions if they target the right people. This book is a good gateway to learning of the dangers that exist in Africa. And why it is never a smart plan to try and get lost money back, not all can be so lucky as Laura.

Not going to tell a fib. This book was so dull and disappointing. It took me the entire month to read it. Laura was such a heartless and monstrous bitch in the end. I get that she was grieving, but what she did was unforgivable. Can't help feeling good where the money went in the end, though.

Celaena Sardothien is an assassin, a fact which both men infatuated with her would much rather forget. Prince Dorian is all too aware of this particular affliction of hers, as his father insists upon having him in the room for every gruesome detail. Chaol of course is also painfully aware that not only does her profession provide an impediment; their ranks are unequal. This does not stop either of them from falling maddeningly in love with her.

Crown of Midnight was such a satisfying read, although I had already figured out some of the major plot-twists well before their reveal. Archer can go die in a hole as far as I am concerned, snivelling sack of crazy that he is. Sarah J Maas, just so you know, I am not likely to forgive you for a certain something happening to a certain someone in this book (fairly certain you know which someone, and what something).

Wow. I was not expecting such heavy themes to be shelved in the tween section. This book really threw me, in a very good way.

Trigger Warning for suicide. Since one would not expect that out of a faery story.

Knife is a young faery who just wants to explore. We grow with Knife on her journey, not only to adulthood, also to self awareness. She is the queen's hunter. She is also the queen's most disobedient subject. What will Knife get up to next.

These books were always a huge part of my childhood, just as much as harry potter. I absolutely adore all of them.

This autobiographical account of Tyler's life is very illuminating, and brutally honest about what drugs do to a person's life. and what the celebrity lifestyle is really like. at times it is a bitter pill to swallow, and other chapters you sail through faster than a 30 second song. All in all it was a delightful read that allowed me into the mind of one of my favorite musicians.

A fabulous first effort. The world building was sublime, to the point that i didn't even question skin-walking.
Kyra isn't normal. On some level she has always known this. What she didn't know; how closely her fate was tied to a palace knight, and a beast from hell.

The Demon riders have been terrorizing the outskirts of Forge for months. Tales of a people that communicate with and control giant cats to do their bidding have reached into the palace. We Journey with Kyra as one poor decision after another lands the thief in trouble.

I love that Kyra was able to keep her humanity in the end despite her heritage going against it.

I love how easy it is to read these books out of sequence! In bones never lie we join Tempe Brennan on her hunt to finally silence Anique Pomerleau. through a fast paced thrill ride Brennan and Ryan stalk their quarry, to what end?
