while obviously not a substitute for amplifying the most marginalized, I could really relate to how this book captured the feeling of living in these times. I'm not a parent but I could really empathize with the distress the author felt at how to explain things to his daughters. I also really liked how hope was a strong theme, which I think is not prioritized enough in activist movements. thank you to netgalley for the ARC.

I wish this had more about rosemary herself. I also think the author was a little too kind to the rest of her family, especially her mother. what god awful parents. the history of violence against disabled people in this country is horrific.
