Really didn't hold my attention at all. Had to restart the audiobook multiple times.
Tense and gripping. Even though I did guess the twist, I doubted myself plenty of times throughout. Besides, I think I may have only guessed it because I read so many thrillers. Definitely recommend!
Thought the setup for the tropes was cute. Enjoyed the characters and how they bonded. I love the little things they did to build their friendship and for the romance to grow from there,
The couple was cute, but their attachment wasn't really believable. I don't feel like the groundwork was laid enough; tended to lean toward instalove. The cringiness for spicy scenes continued into this one.
Pretty good start to the series. Lots of drama and the setup for the overarching plot was a good hook. Some of the writing for the spicy scenes was really cringey and took me out of the story. The ignorance of the FMC was a little annoying, but also realistic for growing up in a convent.
Trigger: some behaviors of the FMC remind me of a bad time in life.
My favorite of the McCabe Trilogy. Loved the couple the most and the conclusion to the overarching plot.
