Autistic queer religious horror is a very specific genre and yet.

This was okay. I loved the main concept, and I liked Rose and Saul's relationship, but maybe the pacing was a bit off? It was a good read but nothing great.

A magyar hangulat jó volt, de amúgy nekem abszolút felejthető. Ezt az Andrisos dolgot a végén meg egyáltalán nem értettem.

Rereading a childhood fave. Not everything aged well, but still a nice adventure.

Faithful! Knight Alanna! George having strong Tybalt energy!

DID NOT FINISH: 5%

This was my fastest DNF in a while, but the style and the main character annoys me, and I just don't think I need this right now.

This is said to be Medusa's story, but Medusa is maybe in 20% of it. I liked the style and the short chapters, but I think there were a few too many POVs, and we didn't really need to know every appearing character's entire life story.

Would you like some criticism of the prison industry in your contemporary romance?

Finn made a mistake (that I personally support) and went to prison. There, she got to know a very cute prison nurse, and sparks were flying… But it wasn't the right time. They meet again months after Finn is released, but is this time the right time, or is it still wrong?

I liked the characters, who both have their own interesting problems to deal with. Vivi is a very good nurse who keeps deeply about people. Finn's POV really shows us how difficult it is to restart your life after prison, regardless of what you did to end up in there.

Conflicted on this one. It does give a good overview of how seriously ADHD can effect your life, which is good. It also writes a lot about how you have to let go of shame and self-hate, because being stressed will only make your symptoms worse to deal with. It's impressive Rich and Rox managed to make their relationship work, when they are so different in a lot of ways, and that's good to see. The book also hammers in that you're still worthy of being loved even if you struggle with stuff like personal hygiene or being on time.

But unfortunately, "have a supportive partner who is good at finances and cleaning and can do a lot of the work for you" is not really a workable solution for a lot of people with ADHD, those who don't have or don't even want a romantic relationship. A lot of Rox's coping strategies rely on Rich's help, which isn't really helpful or hopeful for those of us without that kind of support.

Overall, it's a good introduction to ADHD, and it definitely feels validating, but it's lacking in practical tips that you can use while living alone.

Just sort of okay

I received an ARC through NetGalley and this is my honest review.

This is a book-sized dose of queer joy, tenderness, and unexpectedly love for nature. Most of the poems are about quiet little moments, touches, and many of them involve the wonders of nature, trees, animals, flowers. There are also some nature illustrations that brighten the book further.

Some of the poems are by parents of queer people, which was also great to read.

Each poem is about a loved one, and sometimes that loved one is yourself.
