Sandhya Menon's YA romance is fantastic! This book will check all of your romance boxes and all of your YA boxes. And even if you don't like YA or romance, her amazing writing and storytelling will make you love this book.

A devastatingly amazing, utterly brilliant retelling of Antigone. Kamila Shamsie's writing is absolutely gorgeous.

This was such an amazing, beautiful debut novel in verse. Elizabeth Acevedo is phenomenal, and I loved the story that she told of Xiomara: finding her voice, finding herself, learning to love, learning to speak.

Damn. This was amazing. Jason Reynolds writes Will's story, the majority of which happens in less than two minutes spent in an elevator. Beautifully real in its rendition of the characters, this novel in verse is a YA must read, but not just for young readers. It's for anyone facing a tough situation where they think they know what they're supposed to do... right? Also, the layout of the book itself deserves its own recognition for being awesome.

A delightful road trip adventure with two unlikely protagonists, and a cast of characters with unlikely talents. Sometimes you don't realize where you need to go until you get there.

A very cool, unique mystery set in 1920s Bombay India. The main character is a female lawyer (the first in the country) who gets involved in the lives of three purdah widows (who cannot have contact with men). This book was delightfully twisty, and Perveen was an awesome protagonist! Definitely looking forward to reading more in this series.

Utterly amazing. The world-building is fantastic and the characters are complex and complicated and so realistic. I just wanted to keep reading and reading and reading.
