What an unique, magical, whimsical read. I adored most of it, and although I would have taken some tiny part out, it’s a personal preference and not a book flaw. Highly recommend 

I mean it’s Ali so are we even surprised? I adored it so much. Maya and Connor had so much chemistry and their pining never infuriated me. The sass and the humor were so good and every single character and scene was a blast 

As perfect as always, or perhaps more as with each reread I get to appreciate more and more details. I love the storylines, I’m obsessed with Julian spell or not, I’m obsessed with Emma, and I’m obsessed with their love story. The blackthorns (not you Helen) own my heart too so all I have to say is… until my next reread because this is surely not the last time I’ll be reading these books 

This book had such a unique premise and world building/magic system!!! I adored the steampunk meets ancestral medicine, and all the themes about colonization.
I also found the book to be somewhat predictable but not in a way that bother me, I actually appreciated that what I thought happened came to be, but in a way that I did NOT expect and by the end I was shocked. This book even managed to make me cry which is always a plus in my book because it means it made me connect with the characters in a way I care for them and what happens to them.

I loved this book! Second chance romance needs to be done right so you actually root for the couple to get back together and I definitely wanted them together! 

Absolutely adored this book. The characters were incredible, their chemistry and dynamic was really fun, it had some of my favorite tropes too. My only tiny issue was a plot point that was a little too telenovela for me and that I didn’t find necessary to have in the book, otherwise it would have been a 5⭐️ regardless loved it and will probably reread (unlike book 1 and 2 that I just reread and liked even less the second time around 🙈).

If you didn’t like book 1 and 2 or dnf them, I suggest you try this one. It doesn’t really need any information from them and the vibe is very different
