Would give 3 stars to the first novella, and 4 to the second and third. I really enjoyed these and I have with all of the John Grey books. He's a fantastic complex character and he is fascinating to read.

I liked some aspects of this book, but not all. I really like John and Jamie as characters, particularly John. I think Gabaldon has done an incredible job in writing John's character. His story is really a sad one, and his life is one of carefully managed secrets, lest he be executed. Having said that, the actual plot of the book was quite boring to me, and the parts where they were in Ireland dragged on and on. The book picked up quite a bit at the end when they were at Helwater, but overall I expected a lot more from this book. The relationship between John and Jamie was really stilted; I expected more given how close they are in later Outlander books.

I did enjoy the book somewhat, it just wasn't my favourite Diana Gabaldon book.
I should also say that I am slightly blinded by the fact that I was secretly hoping that they would find Percy when they went back to Ireland, and was devastated when they didn't.

This book was a lot more character driven than the previous ones in the series, which I really enjoyed. I really like all the characters except for Jace and Clary, both of whom tend to be rather selfish and really only like talking about how in love they are. The plot of this book left a lot to be desired for me, mostly because it was all over in a very short space of time. It seemed like an unbelievably short amount of page space to dedicate to such a seemingly big event.

I'll really be carrying on with this series for the other characters such as Magnus and Simon, and I really hope the last two books will focus on them as least as much as this one did.

Goddamn these books.

Oh my god these books. This one was fantastic, just like the first one. The depth to this story and the detail is so impressive. The plot of this really surprised me and definitely did not go where I expected. Loved it.

This was pretty good, but I didn't love it. It felt wholly unresolved by the end, and Stargirls' character really did seem unrealistic.

I think this is the book I have enjoyed the most in this series so far, after Marked. The characters are really starting to change and I enjoyed the lack of teen drama (the lack of Zoey was also quite refreshing).
