I found the writing style in this very grating and self-conscious, which made it overall diffficult for me to enjoy the book. I also thought there were too many storylines in this; it easily could have been limited to just the two, or even just the modern-day storyline.

I enjoyed this installment of the final trilogy, although as with a lot of these books I do feel that the 'poor Fitz' storyline is a bit overdone - he seriously ends up in the worst possible situation almost every time.
It was really cool to see Fitz and co. at Kelsingra, I really hope there's more integration with the Rain Wilders in the last book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. A literary suspense novel about a man who is living illegally in Australia and witnesses a crime. Adiga uses this to explore the complexity of dealing with authorities when you are an 'illegal', and what the severe consequences are for the main character if he chooses to help the police with this crime. Clever storytelling and very original.

I really really enjoyed this. I thought it was assured and complicated, and the characters were such shitty people, but you felt so much sympathy for them. Excellent.
A *little* slow in places, particularly the last third, I felt she wasn't quite sure how to wrap it up, and there's a second story line, the Whelan family, who are victims of Adan's crime, this for me wasn't as successful and interesting as the main storyline. but a very impressive debut, excellent novel.

Interesting ideas in this book, but very long-winded and rambling arguments. In desperate need of some serious editing.

A really enjoyable roundup of some of Richard Dawkins' writings on books. The audiobook's interview with Christopher Hitchens was particularly interesting.
