It's an interesting concept that they came up with an app. The wife app lets you put up tasks that will drain you mentally and have someone else do it for you.

I really like the three founders. I liked watching their lives play out while they are figuring out this app. It does take off pretty well at first but there are bumps along the way and they have to figure out how to navigate and make their app even better.

I'm glad I read it but it's not a book that will stay with me.

This is my least favorite of her books I've read so far but it was still a good one to read.

Kitty pretends to be a nurse and gets hired at Portis House- a hospital for "mad" men who have returned from war to escape her abusive father. This is a haunted place where nightmares run rampant and the mystery of the previous owners and what happened to them is intriguing.

It had a very creepy, Gothic feel with the house being so isolated and the men inside having to deal with the after war trauma leads to a disturbing type of quality to this mystery.

Rosa is a "professional cuddler" who helps those that have a wide range of intimacy issues feel a bit more comfortable with others. Though because she feels people (most her family and small town) won't understand leads her to be less than forthcoming about her job.

A quick and fast read that I was surprised didn't end up with the "ex boyfriend showing up in town so you know they'll get together again" but that the MC gets with another guy. I felt Rosa had a bit of growing up to do still and the need to stand up for herself. I really like Samuel Jackson always being referred to as "not the Avenger" (which is also pointed out that he was never an Avenger himself but he's the one who got them together!)

Interesting having a group of students studying the art of deception have some very deceptive people around them and not know them to be suspicious. Then two people are killed and the atmosphere of a record storm keeping everyone involved in the study contained to the small campus ada so much to the mystery and kept me on the edge of my seat.

What blows my mind the most is that the lone little girl, Iris (daughter of one of those in the study) brings up a small detail that completely flips the investigation and brings it completely into the foreground.

It's a beautiful thing when you find a family that you aren't born into but mean so much to you as if they were.

Athena is a bridesmaid (again) and has to deal with her ex wife bringing as her plus one, the one she was cheated on with. Leo is carrying a torch for the bride and has to watch as she marries another.

I love the lessons that these characters learn about themselves and about who they love. Love is so important and what we need in our lives and I loved seeing it play out in this book.

A scary look into what you put out on the internet and how anyone can have access to you on social media if you aren't careful.

Liv sees a photo of her sister's supposed killer/niece's kidnapper on Molly's social media and decides to take a temp job to get closer to him and see if he has her niece. She befriends Molly which is pretty easy to do as Molly shares "real life" all the time.

I loved the mystery and figuring out what Liv is going to do with the info she gathers. I really liked the mystery POV we got and I tried to figure out who it might be and was really shocked at who it turned out to be. The past story coming out is both tragic (obviously) and also a bit a feel good.

Excellent sophomore novel from Bradeigh.

I really liked the story of three friends (Oliver, Blake, and Bran) that reconnect after college and that two of them have some issues (B&B) that they need to work out. The other two of them (O&B)  have to decide their feelings for each other and whether they want to pursue a relationship.

Blake was such an amazing character and reporter in the story. She made the most of a story she didn't really want to do in the beginning but what drew me to her was her desire to sniff out a company who was pulling kids in for nefarious purposes but promising them that they could get their stardom.

Oliver is such a good person. It's kind of hard to know why he stuck by Bran for so long but once you get the story, it really puts in perspective true friendship.
I can't wait for the series to continue.

This is such a fun whirlwind of a book! Ramona has to deal with her cheating husband, a clingy boss, a 3 year old who refuses to ever go to the potty....All while a Category 4 hurricane is coming for her city!

Add in a neighbor teenager whose mom seems to be missing and her mom who refuses to leave her house (which is directly on the water 😨), this book is just chock full of mishap upon mishap.

I felt for Ramona, trying to be the strong and present mom with all this craziness she's going through! I have to say, she was such a trooper? I enjoyed the glimpses into her past and of course, her love of Prince and his songs and what he meant to her.

I wanted to absolutely LOVE this but it was just ok. I didn't know about the whole TikTok thing this stemmed from when I requested the book and not sure if l have any interest in seeking it out.

I was so in when it alluded that this was partly like The Office. The only connection to that is The Villain has office assistants 🤷‍♀️ There were a few small chuckle moments but not laugh out loud like I do at that show.

I wanted a big relationship to form between The Villain and Evie but besides a kiss to shut him up from revealing himself nearer to the end of the book, there was nothing. They had a lot of moments together but none seemed electrically charged to make me root for them.

I do have to say, the traitor they are searching for throughout the book is someone I didn't expect it to be and there is a cliffhanger so I might be interested to see what happens next.
emotional mysterious slow-paced

I have to say that I didn't really get into this until around 100 pages or so.....I didn't know the direction it was going to go, but from that point on, the story just shot straight forward and kept gaining ground for me. It's not fast paced, but what the story really is at the heart of it gains ground.

Ruth was good at what she had to do to protect herself and later her daughter. She made a few smart decisions but my head turned 180° when the full truth came out! So if you like to try and solve a good mystery that will shock you, pick up this book!
