lighthearted medium-paced

This book was a push and pull of two sides- one MC who believes in love and wants it for herself and one MC who is love phobic. Kareena needs to make some money to buy her Mom's house and Prem needs money to pull together a community clinic to treat South Asian people.

They enter into an agreement (after a VERY public shouting match on his talk show) to fake an engagement to both get what they need. As in some very meddling Aunties who are trying to push them together and you get some laughs. It's spicy (and weird that a body part is called Charlie...no explanation 🤷‍♀️)

It was ok but I wasn't too into their relationship and the validity of it at the end even.

Gray is so grumpy but at the same time so delightful! I have never known such a surly grump and I LOVE IT. Eloise is so positive and playful and just dang good at getting people to like her (except for Jay...let's just ignore him and move on!). She loves Dr. Pepper (hello, my friend!) and her family.

I really like their interactions where Eloise is such a chatter box and Gray is so far away from that. I love when she can get him to crack a small smile or a tilt of his lips. I loved meeting Scarlett and how utterly precocious she is and charming. I highly enjoyed watching these 2 fight their feelings for very valid reasons!

I did like getting to know why he's so grumpy and I just want to kick his dad for what he put Gray through. Can't a guy just be happy for his son? I hated the way his dad would talk to him. I was so happy at the end and the way he cut his dad off.

I so much loved Gray "grand gesture" which wasn't over the top but definitely showed that he cared and he really listened to everything Eloise said and saw everything she felt and did.

The tension is there from chapter one but I don't really connect with the story all that much. I would have rather seen more of the background of this criminal family that the MCs are running from.

I kind of did like Lucky. He was probably the most interesting POV out of all of them.

I read this in one day because of the short chapters.

A great graphic novel which journals Theo's journey to their self discovery. I like how simplified it was so all can see how things aren't always black and white, especially in the trans community.

They took a long while to figure themself out but who doesn't take that time to find their place in this world of confusion. I loved how accepting their friends/family were in this journey too. I think it really helped them along the way.

What a wonderful debut! When I first started, I thought most of the guys at The Blue Iris were kind of scary- their attitudes especially but then you get to know why and it becomes understandable. The guys all grew on me and I fell in love with this ragtag group the more and more I read. I also fell in love with Tessa and I understood her situations with her life and her guy and was happy to have watched her figure out what SHE wanted.

I love that each chapter is titled a flower. I loved the flower shop and what it meant to Tessa. Beautiful story of found family, forgiveness, and heart.

There was a lot to like in this mystery. It's very well written to compel you forward to figure out what's going on. Jane is a homicide detective who has a missing fiance and is pregnant with his baby. She is on a leave of sorts and is put on a 47 year old case when bones are found.

There are so many coverups and lies and I felt bad for some of the people involved who thought certain things that aren't true of themselves.. But there are a few characters that I feel life has given them a certain kind of justice, even if it's not legal justice.

The last journal entries of our missing girl made me so mad and repulsed. Shame on both her parents.

This was my first book by Jensen and I loved it! I'm a big fan of Norse mythology.  This book was almost nonstop adventure!

Freya, our Shield Maiden with a drop of blood from a God, was pretty fierce. She always puts those she loves before her own comforts. When she invokes the name of the God Hlin, she gets granted her magic foretold by seers and away from one husband to another Snorri... Who's son, Bjorn another God blessed warrior is hard to resist.

I didn't always buy Snorri's "knowing the prophecy", I always had the inkling that he was full of it! I think it was his downfall to have Bjorn teach Freya. The ending twist had me wanting more of this world immediately!

Arden is accused of inappropriate relations with a big client and is fired by her boss... Who also asks her to take one more job. Get Ned (who's on trial for manslaughter) and his wife their life back after the verdict.

I love when a thriller just keeps me on the edge of my seat and keeps me turning my head with all the twists! I never knew who was telling the truth but there are a lot of secrets that are kept hidden. It's a page turner and just another great book by this author.

Oh I heart this so much! Noli and Collin are just so fun

It's enemies to lovers from their "meet cute" which is hilarious in its entirety to getting into a fake relationship to boost his image for county Sheriff to getting fake married all with sweet kisses and banter galore. Plus there are some heavy topics here (stalking, past abusive relationship... All handled delicately) and both Noli and Collin have made growth throughout the story.

I loved seeing Noli in her role as a 911 operator and loved the scenes where she got to dispatch Collin and talk him through to the emergency (the birth scene made me tear up, it was so sweet!) I laughed at all the funny nicknames these two came up with each other, it always kept me on my toes!

What a great book. I love how descriptive it was, I felt like I was in Scotland myself!

Addie is a travel consultant sent to Scotland to help a struggling family business, The Heart of the Highlands. Logan is the only boy left in his family helping run it with his dad and he's not excited about her ideas. He likes his tours the way he does them, not doing "tourist traps" but showing more hidden gems.

But Addie is also waiting to discover some hidden places her mom (who died several years earlier) went to. So Logan helps her. As they grow closer (and the banter/teasing is 💯) they begin to really discover those hidden gems. They also eventually get each other to really open up.

Gotta love a man in a kilt too! So fun and so good.
