A story that takes place during The Blitz of London where Susan lives with her grandfather. They raise homing pigeons that are used to send coded messages for the war efforts. Ollie is an American that comes over to join the RAF and ends up helping out in this effort. Susan and Ollie start to fall in love and then are ripped apart by the war.
I loved this story as I didn't realize that pigeons were actually used during the war! The end is bittersweet and had me crying.

Very timely novel.
A group of women in a high powered attorney's office all have secrets. Things that they whisper to each other in hushed conversations. A man, very high ranking in this office, is what most of their whispers are about.
These women get tires of being pushed arrive by the men in their office. Will their whispers get louder for all to hear?
It wasn't until about half way through that I really started enjoying it. I thought these women were just big complainers about their jobs. While, yes, there were some bad things that each of them were going through.....I just didn't really like them..... Until tons of secrets started coming into light. Overall a great read!

As someone who has never read The Three Musketeers, I had never heard of Milady de Winter. But when I saw the blurb and that she was a nemesis of them (the Musketeers show up throughout) in the Dumas novel, I had to read it!
This is her origin story. A simple country girl forced into a Covent by her father and misused by all sorts of men, she learns how to deceive and become a spy.
I really liked this book. It was interesting to see how good she was at what she did. She also did some really awful things though and didn't seem to feel to much remorse for some of it. I really liked her friendship with Connie.

I loved this book! But it does deal with very hard subject matters, especially in the first chapters.
Such amazing characters- I loved Zane. He grew into a fine young man after all he and his sister Britt went through. Emily was an amazing Aunt at the very time she needed to be. Lee is a good cop and he took my heart in believing in Zane and Britt. I really loved Darcy. She was my favorite character. She is very strong willed, opinionated, fierce, likeable, great work and business ethic....etc. She was such a good woman who also goes through a lot in this book.
Nora Roberts continues to amaze me with her books!

This was seriously a cute and fun book! Nina is such a likeable character. She's a bookworm and does trivia nights. She's funny and can crack out a comeback without fully listening to the convo. She gains a family she never knew she had and imagines what get cat might be saying. Then Tom.... So adorable and totally not a perfect fit for Nina but it works!
There was never a dull moment in this book and I read it fast!

Slow moving story but with the feel and heart of Downton Abbey. Dual timelines in the 20s and the 60s in Bethlehem, PA. I really liked the characters, although it takes a bit to get used to them because them are called by their names and nicknames.
Susannah's secret that she hid for so many years with the help of her Mom was so heartbreaking. I really liked Doe- she seemed a little crazy talking about the ghosts that seemed to haunt the house, but there is truth to that as the story unfolds.

Ari and Wes meet on a movie set.... He the star and she a stunt girl. They are both infuriating people. They both have their reasons to be, but that doesn't still make me want to shake them at every turn!
Even after Ari beats something that's been hidden from almost every one she knows, she still feels she doesn't deserve to live. It takes her a LONG time to come to terms with it.
All that said.....I devoured this novel! Read 44 pages and had to leave it for awhile, but when I came back ...I read the rest in a couple of hours!
This book might infuriate you in a lot of ways but it's really SO GOOD!

Very cute story told in text messages, emails and journal entries!
This story will have you laughing out loud at the funny situations and family dramas. My fav part has to be Crystal's dinosaur story!

I was actually a little terrified of this novel at first. I have a cousin and a sister in law with Down Syndrome and I thought this would be so hard to read . But the author didn't spend too much time on the school and the horror that awaited there. We do get a bit of insight into the cruelty that happens in that "school" throughout the book. What we don't get a lot of - and I was hoping for- was about Lucy. This book seemed to focus more on Ginny and all she goes through and that was disappointing.
