A beautiful illustrated book for kids. I loved this little story. It followed Salty, a beautiful Cajun boy made of salt. He loses a part of himself but what follows is what he chooses to do with what he has left. He meets a girl named Pep who also has lost a part of herself and they navigate their new circumstance together.

What I took from it was that you can choose to do your best with the circumstances you are in. You can "flavor" people's lives that you come in contact with. My kids loved the pictures, they are very eye pleasing!

Miriam is a choir director for her church. She lost her husband Teo and twins Blaise and Talia in a car accident about a year ago. She is sent flowers, which her husband set up to send every wedding anniversary, while playing for the choir and melts down.

She ends up finding an app (which I think totally needs to be a real app) her twins made for a cross country road trip as a celebration of soon to be empty nesters.
Miriam takes the trip to honor them and on the way finds a pregnant woman, Dicey, who she wants to help. They take the journey together.

I love the part music plays in this book. Talia played the cello which my husband does so I love that instrument. I love that this journey helps Miriam realize that she still is capable of love and of being loved. We find something out about Dicey later on in the book and I've seen it first hand so I felt for her.

Thanks to the author for sending me her book for my honest opinion.

I feel like this book came into my life at the right time. There is a lot of advice in here from someone who has been there. I've been having problems with my 6 year old and this book will be a big help as I try to implement some things given here.

This book has made me see that she is not the whole problem... The way I interact with, discipline, and talk with her can be improved. I need to be part of the solution to help her navigate her feelings. I have underlined so many things and will probably continue to underline more as time with my children go on. It will be a book that stays on my shelf and comes out often.

Great illustrated book that has a way you can help someone get the Grumblies out. This was perfect for my daughter as she needs help to control her emotions

Kendra is a 16 girl who is a surfer and is preparing for a competition. She is doing so in honor of her brother, Kyle, who died of a drug overdose years ago. He died when Kendra was very young and so Kendra is very against drugs.

Brock is the new bad boy at school. He is a drug dealer , dealing to high school kids, working along with his parents who work for a drug cartel.

They meet at a dance and become friends with wanting (and becoming) more eventually.

It was a good book. I couldn't quite believe that parents would bring their kids into their drug world, even doing drugs with their kids! The whole drug thing seemed too casual in the book in my opinion. I am very surprised at the turn of events at the end of the book for Brock. It was shocking and something I never expected to happen.

This book shows the importance of Monarch butterflies (which is my husband's favorite species ever!) and how we need more butterfly farmers to help plant milkweed plants for the Monarchs to lay their eggs.

It's full of so much good information. I love how the main character goes into schools to teach their importance to kids because they are the next generation and we want Monarchs to be around for a long, long time!

Beautiful illustrations accompany Johnny on his adventure to teach us how we can all help our beautiful world out.

This book is a romance but digs into the deep topic of spousal abuse and it's effects.

Sydney took her son Max and left her emotionally abusive husband. She has a great friend in Gina who knows the extent of what Jarom put Syd through. She finds her old high school boyfriend, Sam, has moved into the apartment above her.

It's hard for Syd to trust Sam but she lets him become best buddies with her son and she soon sees that a man can be good and gentle.

I love the fact that Sam listens to Syd and doesn't push too hard to divulge all her past with Jarom to him. He's a good listener and such a light for Max. I mourned for Syd when she opens up. I applaud her for getting away from him and giving a good life to her son. I love second chance romances and this one just packs a punch with its dark topic.

Thank you to the author for letting me read her book

Sissie may be normal, but her life is anything but. Pregnant at 16 from a one night stand, Caleb, she's "encouraged" by her father to marry the boy and raise the kid.

They somehow find some happiness for a little while caring for their girl, Meg. Soon though, the marriage stars to unravel.... Ending with her husband dead and a toddler left behind.

I did enjoy this. It's a big book but a quick read. I felt sorry for Sissie and her situation with Caleb but I like how she just grabs onto each challenge with her whole heart. We get to see some of Lark (from the first book which I haven't actually read) but I really like her so I need to go read her story. Meg is a really good and responsible girl who I'm glad finds a way to stay on her path to college while helping with her half brother.

I am in love with this book for my neurodiverse son and neurotyical kids!

Benny J is not a fan of Halloween. He lists reasons why. To help him, his parents write him a list of things that will help him get through the day.

I just love that there are lessons here for kids from all walks of life. The colorful illustrations are pleasing.

Two families that have feuded for decades. Gryff and Maddie have long annoyed each other. But the fun begins when they uncover a smugglers stash on their shared land. They both become the target for the smugglers to want to take out.

The banter between them is so fun! The heat of being in each other's presence is so very hot. I read this book in two days and I can't wait for even more from this series
