A Song for the Road by Kathleen Basi
4.0

Miriam is a choir director for her church. She lost her husband Teo and twins Blaise and Talia in a car accident about a year ago. She is sent flowers, which her husband set up to send every wedding anniversary, while playing for the choir and melts down.

She ends up finding an app (which I think totally needs to be a real app) her twins made for a cross country road trip as a celebration of soon to be empty nesters.
Miriam takes the trip to honor them and on the way finds a pregnant woman, Dicey, who she wants to help. They take the journey together.

I love the part music plays in this book. Talia played the cello which my husband does so I love that instrument. I love that this journey helps Miriam realize that she still is capable of love and of being loved. We find something out about Dicey later on in the book and I've seen it first hand so I felt for her.
