Sissie Klein Is Perfectly Normal.
by Kris Clink
Sissie may be normal, but her life is anything but. Pregnant at 16 from a one night stand, Caleb, she's "encouraged" by her father to marry the boy and raise the kid.
They somehow find some happiness for a little while caring for their girl, Meg. Soon though, the marriage stars to unravel.... Ending with her husband dead and a toddler left behind.
I did enjoy this. It's a big book but a quick read. I felt sorry for Sissie and her situation with Caleb but I like how she just grabs onto each challenge with her whole heart. We get to see some of Lark (from the first book which I haven't actually read) but I really like her so I need to go read her story. Meg is a really good and responsible girl who I'm glad finds a way to stay on her path to college while helping with her half brother.
