This book is a great reason why I love historical fiction! The writing of this story paints a very vivid picture for me of a little known (at least to me) part of history.
I never knew that the British government sent out woman to help with the war effort, under cover of secrecy. The things that these woman had to do with the very real possibility of losing their lives in the process are remarkable to me!
I really liked Marie, who thought she was definitely the wrong person to go out and do these things, but she proved she had a real strength to do it.
I really enjoyed the determination of Grace to find out about these girls. She had nothing to do with them, having just found photographs, but yet she persisted to get as much information about them that she could.
From around page 146, I flew through the book. I sat with bated breath during the intense situations of the radio operators.

I liked the book well enough I guess but not as well as the first. I didn't like Noah through most of this book, which is sad because I liked him in the first one. . I hope that in the third, I can end up liking him again.

I was so glad to be able to read the end Charlie's unique visions follow her there and get her entangled in a missing persons case. There are some very intense and crazy moments and I was never sure who the "bad guy" would turn out to be.
Hester's writing is superb and reads easily. I read through the last 50% really quickly!

Haunting, eerie tale that constantly kept my heart rate up..... Afraid of what was going to happen next with this seemingly volatile relationship between a father and his daughter and his new fiancee.

This was a very heartfelt story with a very heavy subject matter!
This debut novel follows Anna, a ballet dancer from Paris, who's career comes to an end due to an injury. She follows her husband Matthias to America for his career and succumbs to her disease- anorexia.
She checks into a treatment facility-17 Swann Street at the insistence of Matthias. There she finds herself overwhelmed with what she will have to confront and eat to help combat her disease. She finds some allies in the other girls in the house who help coax her and guide her in the things she needs to do to help herself.
I love the way this story is written. It's in a different style than a lot of novels and I agree with a lot of other reviews that I've read that it's really lyrical and beautiful.

This was an ok thriller. Not a "have to read it in 2 days because it's just that good" type but I did like it.
I honestly skipped some chapters just to see if I'd like it more because I wasn't liking it much in the beginning. I'm glad I finished it though because it turned out that I figured out who did it before it was revealed. I was still left wanting a little more from this than I got.

I loved getting inside glimpses into this crazy, crazy show! I loved that they just didn't talk to the producers and directors etc.... but also talked to some of the actors. Definitely recommend this book to any fans of the show.

Once again, Katherine Center delivers a book that is funny and heart-warming. I loved the characters and the lessons they show us of forgiveness and moving on. The first chapter had me instantly hooked! Cassie shocked me in that first chapter and I knew I had to get down to the mystery of what happened to her to make her act out like that. I also loved each and every one of the male firefighters she worked with (even the ones that I had to forgive)

The things that Jess had to go through are terrible considering how things eventually turn out. Charles was just an evil and manipulative guy and I hated what he put Jess through. A fast and un-putdownable read!

A gorgeous blend of historical fiction, fantasy and magic of Paris. A bit reminiscent of Les Mis as we get a little of the French Revolution in the book. I loved the subtle romance.
