The Lost Girls of Paris
by Pam Jenoff
This book is a great reason why I love historical fiction! The writing of this story paints a very vivid picture for me of a little known (at least to me) part of history.
I never knew that the British government sent out woman to help with the war effort, under cover of secrecy. The things that these woman had to do with the very real possibility of losing their lives in the process are remarkable to me!
I really liked Marie, who thought she was definitely the wrong person to go out and do these things, but she proved she had a real strength to do it.
I really enjoyed the determination of Grace to find out about these girls. She had nothing to do with them, having just found photographs, but yet she persisted to get as much information about them that she could.
From around page 146, I flew through the book. I sat with bated breath during the intense situations of the radio operators.
