This book is for anyone who is tired of reading romance books from the same perspective. I loved Nora and Charlie's back and forth was so fun to read, they're both so witty and funny. They both have difficult family stuff. I loved Nora's relationship with her sister and how desperately she wanted to take care of her and make everything right for her. The list her sister came up with for them to achieve on this trip was just classic and was a fun element to the story. The spicy scenes between Nora and Charlie were so good and I liked reading about Nora's revelations about herself during the book. I will definitely be picking up the other books by this author.

I've heard some people call this book unnecessary but I really really enjoyed it! I loved learning more about Kazu and the ghost sitting in the chair. All the characters are just so human and the emotions they feel are so strong. Not to mention the daughter is adorable. I would highly recommend this book, can't wait to read the third one in November!

Loved this book about books, love that it’s about people connecting over books. Loved that it was about a library! Aleisha and Mukesh’s relationship was so cute and wholesome to read about. It was cool to see how the books and their friendship changed them. I liked that the book gave you enough information about the books they were reading without spoiling the books if you hadn’t read them yet. Definitely makes me want to read the books from the reading list.

The font is so tiny! I’m just going to checkout the books one by one from the library.

I don’t usually read poetry about death but this collection has a good balance of dark themes, comedy, and nostalgia. Some of the poems are very reflective and talk about history but also make me think about my younger years. Her poetry also talks about chronic illness which is another topic I don’t read much about and I feel like she did it really well.

Very heartwarming and bittersweet. Loved the magical elements and the hints at the ending sprinkled in the book. We get a better image of the cafe as the story goes on which I really liked. I also enjoyed how some of the characters came back after their story. A new perspective can really change everything.

I absolutely adore this book. Jennette is so vulnerable when talking about her relationship with her mom, her history and current struggle with eating disorders, her experience as a child actor, and alcoholism. She reflects on her experience as a child with a narcissistic mother who is living out her dream through her. It was so interesting to see Jennette come to terms with what her mother did and try to determine her identity outside of acting and her ED and pleasing her mom. I loved her internal dialogue while she was with her therapists, that was really fun to read. I hope she writes more if she wants to!

I think the author captured what would happen in this scenario perfectly. I loved all the perspectives we got to read from and I loved it even more when they met each other. Absolutely phenomenal read that I would highly recommend! It’s a lot about power, a lot about pride, respect, fear, religion, politics, and family.

My only complaint is that I wish it were longer. Their friendship is so lovely and it was great to get to know the characters in such a short amount of time. The art was really pleasing to look at and I loved the color scheme and how the colors reflected the characters. In this book you get romance, annoying exes, mental illness, sex, dementia, and career growth.
