Ok its official, I like friends to lovers romance!! Poppy and Alex have been friends and have gone on summer vacations for the past 10 years. Something happened on their trip 2 years ago and they haven’t talked since. In order to fix their friendship, Poppy asks Alex to go on one last trip with her. I knew right away that Poppy had a crush on Alex because of the way she described him but it took her a while to admit it to the reader. It was cute. Alex and Poppy’s relationship is really sweet, they’re both so protective of each other. I really enjoyed looking back at the trips they had taken over the years. Poppy is the queen of self sabotage.

Alison Bechdel tells her story through this graphic novel about growing up with her dad in the closet and her discovering her sexuality. I personally enjoyed the simple black and white, cartoonish illustrations. The references to other literature was very cool and I felt like she explained it well. I thought she did a good job explaining the strain of her parent’s relationship because her dad was in the closet. Overall I enjoyed it.

This book was worth the wait! In this incredible collection of poems Sierra talks about grief, love, pregnancy, and being queer. Her words are so beautiful and the way she is able to capture little moments so perfectly is inspiring to me. I will definitely be returning to this collection often.

EDIT: Just finished it for the second time and I want to cry and I’m covered in goosebumps. Read this book!!

I really enjoyed this book! I liked seeing Antara and her Ma’s relationship and how it’s grown and changed over the years. The ending was unsettling.

A light read with very cute characters and stories. There are some couples from Rowell’s other books that were fun to read. The last story made me sad though.

I liked a lot of the poems but some of them were confusing to me. She sounds very unhappy in her marriage. I'm glad I read this book. It was very reflective and I felt like she talked a lot about how she wishes she had explored her sexuality more before she got married.

Such a good collection! I liked the poems about her loneliness and the fear she has about her moms health. I really enjoyed a lot of the poems in this book!

I love their twist on classic sayings. A very good collection of poems about love, the queer community, and activism.

Paris Hilton is my new role model. She tells her story with such grace and isnt afraid to call herself and others out. The empire she’s created is so impressive. The trauma she experienced as a teenager is heartbreaking, I had no idea places like that existed. It was so cool to read about the first paid influencer and how she’s paved the way for so many. I’m so glad I read this book.
