I will definitely have to reread this and highlight parts. It made me reflect on all of my relationships. I want to give a copy to everyone and make them read it!!

I flew through this book! So accessible and informative. It was crazy learning about how TB has affected society and how society has affected TB, how we view people with TB, and how we treat TB.  I feel like I learned so much!

Queenie was relatable on some levels. I felt like one of her friends while I was reading, just wanting to say No Queenie!! Don’t sleep with him AGAIN!! The self sabotage is strong with this girl!! She’s going through a hard thing and is coping in the ways she knows how. I liked how the book talked about politics and how Queenie dealt with racism at work, in her dating life, and her personal life. It was also interesting to see how her culture and the way her grandparents were raised affected her decision to seek help for her mental health. I really enjoyed the ending too. I wish we had seen more of her and her mom interacting.

This series is incredible, I finished this book in less than 24 hours. Dex and Mosscap have such a wonderful friendship and I love them so much!! It was so cool to see them travel around to talk to people and see the different ways people received them. Loved seeing Mosscap fall in love with books. I also really loved meeting Dex’s family. I’ll be returning to this series!!

The parallels this book has to some of the things happening now is chilling! I loved the way the story was told through journal entries from different characters and commentary from Asha. So cool that we slowly got to know her more and her opinion of Lauren. The things done to the people in Acorn were heartbreaking. It was cool to see the journey Lauren went on after and what she did with Earthseed. I’m so glad I read this!!

I liked reading about Grant and Helen’s individual emotional journeys with their relationship, and thinking about their careers and families. I was a little confused about the emotional leaps Helen makes to be okay with messing around with Grant. I didn’t really see them, it didn’t seem too challenging for her to make that decision. They’re a pretty cute couple though and the spicy scenes were very well written! The ending felt rushed as well.

I wasn’t expecting the monk to have the personality they did but I really liked them! Love the nonbinary representation and I really liked watching them grow their skills in being a tea monk. The robot was so sweet!!

The first story or two’s dialogue seemed a little robotic but that might just be a translation issue. I really loved the last two stories, that last one 😭💔
