TW: pedophilia , rape, violence

This was an uncomfortable read due to pedophilic content. It was well written but I didn’t enjoy reading it.

I don’t know how to review this book. It left me in tears multiple times. I laughed until I cried several times. This book is challenging and thought provoking. If you can, try the audiobook, read by Alexie.

Not scary. I expected something more.

Meh. Interesting concept, but it was all very internal. I was expecting more action.

This won't be a full review I'll need to read it again to really understand my thoughts. I found this book difficult to read, not because of the content, but because of the style. Like Aza, I suffer from anxiety and reading her thought spirals was like reading my own spiraling thoughts. It was like I could finally see what my chaos could look like. It was disturbing and uncomfortable, but didn't take away from the quality of Green's writing. While Green's writing has vastly improved over the years, and this book is his most honest and vulnerable, I was disappointed with the plot of the book. I expected more. Plot-wise, this book feels half finished, with the ending coming on rather quickly.

Not sure what I was expecting, but these novellas are very simple slice of life stories, without much depth or character development.

Not terrible, but not great either. I sympathized with Sydney, being creeped out by an older man, having been there many times myself. I felt like the imagery of this book was very jumbled.
