I wanted to love this, cos I love the other 2 books in the series, and I love a good long time friends to lovers romance, however it was just too much of a slow burn for me and I was just waiting forever for Lia to break up with her fiancé

Lia's finance Brian and his mum really annoyed me, granted I don't think were meant to like them anyway but imo it felt like we spent so long on that part of the story rather than the romance between Lia and Breaker

Once Lia broke up with the fiance I did really enjoy it and flew through the second half. I really enjoyed that they're friends to lovers and that they clicked so well together

The bathtub scene tho 👀 so good

- slow burn
- friends to lovers
- she's about to marry someone else and he's like 'oh shit I love her'

Kandi abosolutely killed this book!! I'm obsessed with Vince and Maven and cannot wait for the rest of this series

The narration was so good as well, Megan and Edward killed it - such a good performance, and I loved that it was duet narration (aka the male narrator speaks all the male lines even in the female pov and vice versa). This was my first time listening to a duet narration audio and it's a game changer for me

I love how complex Kandi's characters always are and that Vince is a lot more than just a rich guy who plays hockey - I'm obsessed with him

The spice in this is seriously amazing

The first time the MCs meet, I can't stop thinking about it - move over meet cutes I'm here for the 'accidentally insult you to your face' meeting

- pro hockey
- forced proximity

Thank you to Kandi and her team for the ALC 🥰 (all thoughts/opinions are my own)

Obsessed with this ending!! Very cute and hot and when shit started going down I was like 'oh shit' and it was so good!!

So glad I gave these books a chance

Loved the writing so deffo going to pick up other books by this author

- why choose / poly
- multi pov

Going into this book I didn't know if Id like it or not, I tend not to read dark romance (normally stick to small town rom coms) and after reading the CW wasn't sure if it'd be too much for me and not my cup of tea

However I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it, I really liked the writing style which I think made me enjoy it a lot more, also there's a good mix between spice (dark and softer) and also normal relationships, I really enjoyed seeing the softer side of the boys relationships with each other

Can't wait to read book 2 straight away

- poly / found family

The whole time I was kinda just wanting more also didn't realise it was accidental pregnancy which wasn't the vibe I was going for

- why choose
- childhood friends to strangers to step siblings and lovers
- accidental pregnancy

I loved this book and I can 100% see why everyone loves it and raves about it

I really liked Indy and Ryan's relationship and how they gave each other space when it was needed

I love a fake dating book when both MCs have it so bad for each other straight away

I wish we could've seen Stevie's reaction to the daily updates they were so good

I'm not one who thinks about names too much and can't read books with certain names in, however after the first couple of spicey scenes I couldn't help but thinking about how unsexy the name Ryan is

- sports
- forced proximity
- fake dating

Picked up this book as it had a lot of my fave tropes in, which made it an enjoyable read

I liked both of the characters and the general plot line, even if there was a typical romance book frustration of 'i don't get why they aren't actually together/putting things off', however the writing style wasn't fully my cup of tea which is why it's not a 4⭐ for me

The ending was very cute and I did really enjoy it

- duel pov
- fake dating
- forced proximity
- age gap

This is part of a series, I haven't read the previous books and I didn't feel like I was really missing anything from not having done so

I really enjoyed this book, I liked the premise of it but wasn't sure on the 'insta love' kinda aspect just as some times it's just too quick. However I thought the pacing of the romance was really good and felt  like it had time to develop eve  if the book is set over a week

- LGBT
- coming out/discovering yourself
- summer vibes
- insta love (it's set over a week but it didn't feel rushed imo)

I couldn't put this book down, I always wanted to know what happened next, what twist or turn would happen and I really enjoyed it and get why everyone's obsessed with it

Ever since I heard that Kandi was doing a hockey series I was so hyped for this book and it didn't disappoint!! I loved every second of this from start to finish

I love how complex Vince is and that he was more than just a rich man who played hockey

The spice is this was so good, like zero notes on it - especially chapter 28 and 32 🥵

This was so funny, I keep thinking about when they first met and honestly love it so much, move over meet cute I'm here for the accidentally insult you meeting

- pro hockey
- forced proximity

Thank you to Kandi and team for the ARC!!

Also I'm so excited for Watch Your Mouth (brothers best friend & teammate therefore forbidden and a road trip???!!!, also dying to know what happened at that party like i really hope we get to see that at some point)
