Idk what Kandi put in this book but I love it, the sneaking around is so good

I loved this book - like with all of Elsie's writing I love her style, the plot and how complex her characters are, and also the spice is so good

I loved Winter and Theo, from the second they first met they were so good together. And as the story progressed it just got better and better

Chapter 37 🥵🥵🥵

Also may or may not have sobbed through the epilogue - it was so good!!

Lowkey sad that there is only one more book left in this series

- one night stand
- surprise pregnancy
- small town
- sports (bull rider)
- duel pov
emotional funny reflective medium-paced

I struggled massively with this book, there were several times I wanted to dnf but pushed through it

I just didn't connect with the main character at all, like I didn't really understand her reasoning behind the decisions she made. Also at the start I found her constant comparison of herself to others, her automatically thinking that other people think they're 100x better than her, and her thinking that others don't want to be around her very annoying very quickly

- LGBT (lesbian FMC, bi FMC)

Really enjoyed this

I started reading Losers Pt1 and then came back and read this, the ending of this was a lot cuter than I was expecting after reading the aftermath of it in Losers Pt1
adventurous fast-paced

I really enjoyed the narrators for this book. I really enjoyed this story but was left wanting more

- lgbt
- historical
- one night stand
- forced proximity

DID NOT FINISH: 38%

I keep waiting for it to get better and to become more invested in the relationship but I'm not and it's just painfully slow

Also not vibing with the female narrator

This book picks up 3 months ish after Final Shot and continues Garrett and Lizzie's story. Personally do recommend reading Final Shot first, on amazon it's said as an optional prequal novella however I think it does help to understand some of the background to the start of the story.

I said in my Final Shot review that I didnt understand why they werent together and honestly after reading this book I'm still confused as to why they weren't together at the start.

Overall I thought this was good read quick read and liked the plotline

- hockey romance
- friends to lovers
- accidental pregnacy
- no 3rd act break up

Enjoyed this, left me wanting a lot more (so diving straight into the next book)

For an 80 page book we got introduced to so many different characters I was low-key confused who was who the whole time

Also I guess with the length of book it wasn't fully possible but I felt like the character development wasn't fully there and I couldn't fully understand why they made the decisions that they did - again leaving me wanting more

- sports adjacent (aka he plays for a hockey team but apart from them watching a game no sports happens)
- second chance
- friends to lovers (kinda)
- intro novella to series

It took me a long time to really get into this book and enjoy it, it wasn't until the last 20-15% that I was the most invested, anytime before then I could've DNFed at any point. Not really sure why - just didn't connect with the characters. Think the MMC keeping secrets for so long and always kinda having one foot out the door until the last 10% didn't really help either

- duel timeline
