A group of teenagers meet to compete in a writing competition for free tuition. Each person has to struggle with their own issues during the writing exercises. The make friendships and solve a mystery. Interesting read, very predictable towards the end. The mystery felt rushed and out of place.
Super quick and cute chick-lit romance. Sylvie and Dan have the perfect marriage, or so they thought. When a doctor tells them that they could both have very long life expectancies, meaning they could be married an additional 60+ years they both freak out! The eventually decide to surprise each other. They end up finding out a lot about each other and what makes them work as a couple. Vintage Kinsella.
I'm really starting to enjoy this series and Ms. Thomas's writing style. I can't wait to see what's in store for Charlotte, Livia and of course the Ingram's. Such a delightful spin on Sherlock Holmes.
As a lover of history, political science and a good book, this work hit all the right spots for me. I enjoyed Elisa's story more than Marisols, but hers was still interesting. I could have done with less political preaching, the story didn't need it, more character interaction would have made for a better read. Thanks first to reads for the opportunity to read and review this work.
I am in awe and in love with this series. Best one in the series by far!! I am just starting to really enjoy the writing style of Ms. Thomas and the character development is fantastic. I only was able to guess at one of the twists in this mystery. The remaining twists surprised me, which made for a great read. Lady Ingram shows up dead during a house party at Lord Ingram's. Lord Ingram is of course the prime suspect. Sherlock Holmes (Charlotte) must step in to quickly prove that Lord Ingram is innocent before he is sent to the gallows.

I was really swept away by this dragon, heist, teen romance. Even a bit of family drama was thrown in for good measure. Sky is a wyvern, so are her friends and family. Her mother disappears failing at a heist, but no one will tell Sky the truth about the heist and where her mom has gone. Sky forms a team and sets to solve the mystery herself. Decent read, I'd read a sequel.
I've read almost every book by Ms. Kinsella, her books are starting to become routine. While I enjoyed this work, and will keep reading her, you can start to see a pattern.
It keep losing my interest. I'm not involved enough to want to struggle through it. I don't care enough about the characters. Ah well. Moving on...
I liked this book just as much as I enjoyed Next Year In Havana. Beatriz was more firey than her sister Eliza and I appreciated that this book didn't go back and forth between the past and present. The same things that I found annoying with Havana I found here. Too much description not enough action. Too much politics not enough thrill. I do enjoy the Perez family and the characters, so we'll see if I follow the author. Thanks First to read for the galley in exchange for an honest review.
