I do not recommend this book anymore. Although news has been released by TAAF that Wilkens is faking being Indigenous, TAAF is run by someone who, according to a thread I saw from Darcie Little Badger, posts racist content about state/recognized and unrecognized tribes (https://www.threads.net/@dr.littlebadger/post/DBj6W3HTHFl?xmt=AQGztJ3LpDXeIbP_X0vwFxF1uVTA4EfLh8woSSFAElza5g).

I love Jen Ferguson’s writing.
I had one complaint, and it’s something so simple to look up LOL; the school curriculum in Alberta (where this book takes place) has a general science grade 10 class and grade 11 and 12 are where biology, chemistry and physics branch off. The MCs said they were in ‘biology 10’, but it doesn’t exist in Alberta so I was annoyed with that.
Otherwise, another amazing novel by Ferguson
