This is the second time I tried reading this and I just don’t think it’s going to work, unfortunately. It had darker themes, and it’s a YA book, so I just think I don’t want this type of YA book (I love YA books).
I don’t know why I don’t want to pick this up, but I’m DNF’ ing for now. Might come back to it, or maybe try again next year 🥲
I am enjoying this, but I think I would enjoy it wayyyyyy more in summer, and so I will come back to this eventually. I love Racquel Marie's writing, so I will pick this up again!
Reclaiming Two-Spirits: Sexuality, Spiritual Renewal, and Sovereignty in Native America
DID NOT FINISH: 15%
The more I think about this book being written by a White cishet scholar rather than a Two-Spirit Indigenous scholar, the more disgusted I feel.
I made it to chapter 2, read some reviews, and realized “I don’t want to read from the perspective of a White cishet man on Two-Spirit identity. Fuck that”

I was trying the audiobook but the narrator is just getting on my nerves and I don’t know why. They have a great voice but the way they were doing some scenes…I can’t anymore. It’s like nails on a chalkboard
Soft DNF. Will come back to because I am enjoying it, just not enough to finish right now
It’s just a meh graphic novel. Don’t feel like finishing it
This is a soft dnf @ 10%. I am intrigued to see how it goes, but currently, I don’t want to pick this up at all. I also feel like it might be better if I read the ebook or physical copy instead
I started this book yesterday, read 2 chapters, and have absolutely no desire to pick it back up, even just for one more chapter. These chapters are also long (13 chapters in a 256 page book), and I just don’t want to read it further. My first Chuck Tingle book is a miss
This is a book I definitely think will be much better for me to read as a physical read or as an ebook. I’m confused with the audiobook, and I want to understand everything, thus I will DNF this for now and come back whenever I get an ebook or physical copy because this is right up my alley!
