Tiffany and Saluhk(?) were mad cute. I apologize to Tiffany though because I was constantly thinking about Josie, that’s not her fault I’m just obsessed with Josie. Also glad to know the worm inside them only allows safe sane and therapized resonates!

I almost gave this 2 stars because Georgie and Vektal are boring, but then we switched to Claire’s POV! Hallelujah! Also that scene where Haeden gets mad at Josie getting hurt??? 10/10 we love couples who act like they hate each other but secretly don’t.

This took me what felt like forever to get through. Harlow and Rukh were just boring to me! And their logic about the tribe frustrated me. I only finished it because I’m nosey and need to know what happened so I can start the next book.

This book was good, sad but good. Simon needs to pull his head out of his depressive ass, but am I surprised?? no! I like a little angst in a ship, so the alternating POVs of Simon and Baz sadly pining were great for me. This book made me sympathize too much with vampires to side with Penny and Simon and I’m not sure if that’s the goal? It also made me hate Penny&Simon for a bit because Shepard was so nice and they were needlessly rude. Hoping he’s in book 3, because I liked him a lot. Hoping Baz learns self control and isn’t afraid to take a bite out of Simon (´∀`)

This is actually my third time reading Carry On, in preparation for the 3rd book! I love it. I love how dorky the worldbuilding is, like the spells, and how SnowBaz is almost every Drarry fic to ever exist. I like Agatha more every time and I think it’s because I relate to her too much, same with Ebb. I’m calling it right now that Agatha suffers from comphet! We’ll see in book 3...

If you enjoy Wattpad stories but wish they were better written, this is the book for you. For that alone I enjoyed this. (And I hope she ends up with Grayson)
Edit: I updated this from 4 to 3.5 stars. I hope she ends up with Grayson but I think it’s very obvious it’ll be Jameson. Its a very Jacob/Bella/Edward situation where Grayson has such little screen time compared to Jameson it’s not even worth debating. The mystery was fun and is what drove me to finish this book in one day

This book was AMAZING. The writing style is so beautiful and the pictures Gong paints of 1920s Shanghai is stunning. I loved the mystery of who and what the monster was. I totally called it and was very excited to be right. The last 3/4 of this book was an emotional rollercoaster, I almost cried, and I need the second book ASAP.

DID NOT FINISH: 80%

I was so close to the end of this book but put it off for weeks, that’s how honestly boring it was. These kinds of stories may be better told in comic form, or maybe other light novels of the same genre are better written... The characters were not likeable enough at all and most of the time I felt like the inner dialogue was just rewritten over and over

I enjoyed the FL and ML without any complaints, which is rare for me in historical romance books. I loved Callie, and I loved her list! And that scene in the men’s club ;)

I wanted to like it, the premise was promising to me. Ultimately it was too boring for me... and I cringed every time Hook called Tink “beautiful girl”.
