I will admit that I was expecting more of an actual romance rather than a coming of age story with a romantic theme. Don't get me wrong; I still enjoyed it. But it's not what I would call a romance novel. Still, I think most of us can resonate with jasmine about being at a crossroads in her life, not sure where she wanted to go or what she wanted to do and just meandering along until she figured it out.

Still, there is what I could call a HFN ending, which I liked. I also appreciated the developments her familial relationships made since that was the crux of all of her issues. I would recommend this but with the caveat that it's not a straight romance.

This book was amazing! It was everything I was wanting and more. Isabel really embodied the Gothic atmosphere to me and keeping me on the edge of my seat until the last page. Beautifully written, well described, and just everything was *chef's kiss* perfect. I already can't wait to reread this and see what else this author has in store for us.

I received a free eARC of this book for an honest review.

I was really looking forward to reading this book and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed how it portrayed the complex feelings Sophie had as coming out as bisexual later in life and how understanding Amy was about it. There were more than a few times that she was Sophie's fiercest champion in not letting anyone question her queerness. Alternatively, there were a few times Sophie helped Amy too with her own baggage and demons. That balance of being the strong one for the other is not something we always see in romance novels, so when we do, it's a breath of fresh air.

There were a few snags for me such as the constant self-sabotaging from Amy mainly in terms of having a happily ever after. While I got the reason why after a bit it did get tedious but it all came together in the end. Highly recommend this and here's to the finished coffee will have some recipes included since the meal Sophie made at the end sounded delightful.

Yet another winner from Jackie. And of course it made me want ice cream a lot! I loved how well balanced the Drew and Chloe were and the strength they gave each other when it was needed. Plus the steam factor in here was off the charts! Highly recommend.

Amazing witchy read. I loved everything about it, especially the cinnamon roll that Talia turned out to be. Be still my heart, I pretty much feel in love with her too. I also loved who Emmy came into her own in the end (any more and it would be spoiler territory). I am definitely going to read others in the series. I wish that Thistle Grove was real because I know that I would love to live there.

Overall a good read with a really slow burn. It's a bit long but looking back I can't say that any parts were unnecessary because there was more at stake than your average shifter novel. I enjoyed this read and it sucked me in and drew me away from other books because I just had to know how it was going to play out. There was also a lot of vindication that satisfied my desire for revenge, which is a bit scary but hey I'm under no illusions about that part of my personality. Would recommend and will read more for this author.

Not my favorite by this author and surprisingly didn't make my cry. I went in expecting something completely different than I got and that tempered my opinion I'm sure. It was just okay for me but I am glad that I was read Britt-Marie's story first since I may not have picked it up after being introduced to her here.

This my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it overall. I felt the "hidden" aspect of the romance was a bit much and that Ali could have cut a lot of that out by telling Daniel that the people in her world, save for Briana, weren't worthy of him. Because they weren't. To say more would venture into spoiler territory but yeah that was like the biggest annoyance for me. Still a great read full of warm fuzzies and would reread.

Such a sweet Sapphic second chance romance with friends to lovers throw in. A great ending to this trilogy and all are definitely reread worthy. I also appreciated the fact that both Margot and Olivia realized where they messed up in the past and how they had to work to avoid that in the future. Swoon worthy and the sex scenes were fire. Highly recommend.

There was no sophomore slump with this book! The action picked right back up and threw us into the latest adventure in Thistle Grove. I loved reading about Issa and Rowan's enemy to begrudging detective partners to lovers. It was an interesting journey and I found the reason behind the curses to be very inventive. I think it did a good job of showing representation for people who suffer from anxiety and how difficult it can be to break away from family expectations even if they're supportive. I can't wait to read more in this series.
