This is a spin off of Ms Bennett's Legal Affairs series, so if you have read that, you will have already have met Cal (but if you haven't, there is enough info that you won't feel like you are missing out)

This is s novella to start Cal and Macy's story, and boy what a start it is

"Saint" Cal and Macy Carrington are an explosion waiting to happen. Their bickering and sniping at each other is months of foreplay, and now they just need to play the main game.

Holy Hoteness Batman!!! That spark finally lights an inferno between them, and things are never going to be the same for either of them.

I loved these two together. Assumptions are made, words are spoken - though even though they are nasty things they say to each other, they are said with a good dose of humour too.

I really want, no need to know what happens with this pair, and even though yes, this does end on a cliffhanger, there is not long to wait until the next installment - which is a full length novel woohoo!

This is the fourth and final instalment in the Stage Dive series by Kylie Scott *cue sad face* but you could read this as a standalone -but why would you want to miss out on any of the sexiness that is the men of Stage Dive.

You know what it is like - you are told you can't have something, so that just makes it more desirable. Not saying that is exactly how it is with Ben but you will get the gist when you read Deep.

Ben has always been a bit of an enigma wrapped up in riddle. A playboy to the end (or is he??), I have been impatiently waiting to get his story.

And what a story his and Lizzy make!

Unlike the unexpected pregnancy to end the story that we get so often, Deep starts of with the pregnancy and we are taken along for the ride as our darlings try to figure out what kind of relationship they can/will/want to have.

Gah, Ben, you big jerk! You made me cry more than once - not for good reasons though! Your flip-flopping, the way you were treating Lizzy - GAH! I wanted to slap the crap out of you most of the time.

And Lizzy, oh how my heart broke for you over and over as the story unfolded. You can't help who you fall for, even when you know it is a bad choice.

There is so much tension in Deep. Sexual tension between Ben and Lizzy, tension between the members of Stage Dive, the whole Stage Dive family really. I just wanted to get them all in a big group hug and tell them that it was all going to be OK.

So, do Lizzy and Ben have enough feelings between them to make a go of a relationship and family? Can Ben give up his playboy ways? Or is enough finally enough and will Lizzy walk away?

Uh-uh, for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

I loved that we got more of each of the Stage Dive men and the women who tamed them. Each of them holds a special place in my heart.

So as sad as it is to say goodbye to them, now we can see what bigger and brighter things Kylie Scott has for us now!

This is a continuation of Jack and Julia's story, so you will need to have read Come Dancing first.

Keep Dancing continues on right where Come Dancing Ends, and while they are starting to make headway, Jack and Julia really do need to work on their communication skills if they are going to make things work!

I couldn't help get drawn into the 1980's sex-and-drugs-and rock and roll world our lovelies are caught up in. Success and excess seems to be all the rage.

I did feel for a while that their relationship kept going around in circles, neither of their characters growing. It was all trust issues and hot sex for a little bit of the book.

There were some laugh out loud moments, some sad moments, some what the heck were they thinking moments in Keep Dancing. There were a couple of characters I would like to know more about, and there were a couple that I wanted to high five... in the face.... with a brick.

Overall, a good sequel to Jack and Julia's story. 3.75 stars

**Fans herself**... it is hot in here?

If it isn't it will be by the time you finish reading Night Shift.

6 amazing authors have given us 6 steamy short stories, and all for 3 fantastic charities.

As I was reading I was thinking to myself "man, I needed to get sick while I was in New Orleans a couple of months ago, this medical centre is a hotbed of hotties"

The nights get hot in Tulane Medical centre as our doctors and nurses find there's more to life than long hours at the hospital!

I adored each and every story in this anthology. There was laughter, there was sadness, and Oh My Hot! There was some steam!

There were a couple of the stories that I would really like to see as a full length novel, as I was completely drawn into the stories.

This anthology had a couple of my favourite things amongst the novellas. One about a hockey player, and one was a m/m romance.

If you have not read any m/m (this is my current obsession, cannot get enough m/m books!!) then Kindle Alexander's Closet Confessions is a great way to start. And what a fantastic way to get new readers to the genre, by slipping it into this anthology.

The great thing about this anthology and the authors involved is that all proceeds are being donated to some fantastic charities.

So, what are you waiting for - go get down and dirty with the New Orleans Night Shift

I love anything Irish, so this was a no brainer for me when I purchased it. However it has sat on my Kindle for nearly 18 months, and for some reason, i never got around to reading it.

It popped up on the front page of my kindle a couple of nights ago so I dug into it - since it was St Patricks' Day and all that!

What I loved:

I loved the setting, the house on the hill by the ocean. I could just picture it in my mind and I wanted to live there.

Megan not giving up her family legacy, and not selling the house she inherited

Her friend Beata - what a foul mouthed spitfire she was

What not so much:

The bad guy. Hmmm, well even though he tried to cause her trouble, he just seemed pretty weak to me. Not so bad at all really

LOVED the "other guy" Paudie.

While the ending was quite predictable, it was the journey we were lead on to get there. It was sweet, it was fun, not angsty.

It was a sweet book, the first I have read of this author, but I will probably get round to reading more in the future.

It has been a while since I read an Allison Brennan book (please please please can we get more of Moira, Rafe and the Deadly Sins series!!!)

This is the second book in the Max Revere series, however I have not read the first book, but there is enough information in this second book that I am happily reading it as a stand alone.

Maxine "Max" Revere is a strong willed woman. Investigative report working on cold cases, she runs in some nasty people along the way, but this time, she is in the sights of a total sociopath.

Wow, this story just drew me in from the start. Max and her coworkers and friends are a mad lot, but what they do they do well. I could just imagine how much Max would rub people up the wrong way with her no nonsense attitude, but can also see how much people would appreciate her for her candour.

Right through there is a suspenseful story line that kept me interested the whole way through, and there was a bit of a twist in the tale that I was not expecting.

This was a great introduction for me to the Max Revere series, I will be going back to read the first book, and I look forward to where Ms Brennan takes Max and her friends next.

I have to say, this has definitely been my favourite book in this series so far.

My heart hurt for Chris as he watched Darci pine over Zane, when all he wanted was for her to love him like that. Unrequited love is a bitch!

As with all the Hot SEALs so far, it is a joy to be taken along for the ride as they find their match.

While this was a shortish book like the others in this series, this is one I just did not want to end.

I wanted to know so much more about Chris and Darci. I know we will get them in the stories about the other SEALS, but I really really want another whole book for them. There is just so much more to them than what we got.

Thank you Ms Johnson for another SEAL to fall in love with

Now I have made not secret of the fact that I had problems with Bad Romeo, about how the story went round and round in circles for about 50% of the book before it started to move along. So at first I was unsure about what I was going to feel about Broken Juliet.

Just throw those worries out the window!

I LOVED Broken Juliet!

Starting right off where Bad Romeo ended (remember the 1000 I love you email?) Broken Juliet gets right into the guts of Ethan and Cassie's relationship.

We got a lot more detail this time about what happened over the years with their on again off again relationship. I have a love-hate relationship with Ethan - when he is good he is great, but when he is not so good, I just want to slap the crap out him!

My heart cracked, then broke each and every time with Cassie, for Cassie. Her and Ethan's relationship is a beautiful, broken mess and all I wanted was for them to finally get things right between them, have the forever kind of love they deserve.

I loved getting deeper into Ethan's psyche. Whilst reading Bad Romeo I just kept on thinking "what is your malfunction Mr Holt?" but there is so much more that I understand about him now.

So, can Ethan and Cassie finally get past the beautiful disaster of what their relationship has been for the past 8 years, and get their HEA?

Nope, not telling, but what I will say is that if you liked Bad Romeo, you are going to love love love Broken Juliet.

Verity Jacobs is a new to me author, and I had not read the first book in this series (The Science of Attraction) but that did not affect my reading of The Music of Temptation

I am a sucker for a rock star book, and I love a good opposites attract story.

And Jonathon and Margot cannot get any more opposite than a rock star and a scientist! Yet from the minute they meet, they just feel so right together.

I adore Margot. Just out of a long term relationship, ready to immerse herself in the lab with her cell research. I could understand her single mindedness at the time.

And I just loved Jonathon. His determination to make a go of things with Margot. I don't mind saying that if Margot didn't want him, I would have gladly taken her place!!

But do they get their happy ever after? Nope you will have to read for yourself!

I loved the secondary characters as well, a rag tag bunch of scientist who are the perfect sounding boards for each other.

I will be going back to read The Science of Attraction, and look forward to more of this series

4.5 second chance stars

Karly Lane is a new-to-me author, but I will definitely be heading back to read more of her work.

Rebecca and Sebastian's is a beautiful second chance romance. 18 years after their lives changed irreparably, their lives are thrown together once more.

They say your first love never really dies, and after all these years, you could still feel the pull between them. No matter what water was under the bridge, they still have feelings for each other.

Oh man, does this pull at your heartstrings. As we learn more and more about what happened in the past and how it has shaped their futures, I couldn't help but shed a tear.

I so wanted them to get things on track again, but things were never meant to be easy.

Besides fighting their feelings for each other, there is a fair dose of suspense thrown in to the story too which stirs things up a little. We are in for one bumpy ride.

I loved that this was a slow burn kind of story, more about hearts than sex.

So, can Seb and Bec go back to how they were all those years ago and have their HEA? Or has too much happened that will keep them apart?

Nope for that you are going to have to read for yourself.

I loved that this is set in a small rural town. I live in a rural town about the same size as where Burnt is set, so I could feel the small town vibe, where everyone knows your business and there are no secrets.

I definitely look forward to reading more Karly Lane works in my future.
